Will it fit in a car holder?

No. Does not fit a Honda pilot, Honda Odyssey, Kia Telluride, or Toyota Rav4, Siena. It also arrived in the original box with the bottom open and cup had fallen out somewhere during it's trip, then put back into the box with the bubble wrap stuffed in to hold it in place.

is the bottom/base removable?

No ma’am it’s not removable..I clean with brush it came with or baby bottle brush.but a very good water bottle ..I have all the colors
