Great boil kettle. The whirlpool port is amazing and makes sure all trub is centered upon completion. You must use a pump for it to work correctly.

This is the best homebrew pot out there. I have 2, a 20 gal and this 30 gal. No more false bottom.

The kettle lid came broken in the box. It looks like the weld for the handle was done poorly. I’m hoping that Northern Brewer will make it right by sending me a new lid. Everything else looks to be in great shape. The kettle is very well made. Looking forward to brewing my first batch on my new system.

I bought two of these (15 and 20 gal) in 2018. This pot has so many positives about it. I've been using it since 2018 and done around 20 batches and it has held up spectacularly. Easy to clean and use. I use the ports to recirculate (using a pump) during the mash, and then to whirlpool/cool it at the end of the boil. I connected SS quick-release connectors and they work great.I bought these initially to have one as a mash tun and one brew kettle, but quickly upgraded to BIAB. Now I can do 3-4 five-gallon batches at once (I have two Edelmetall Bru burners). My only recommendation is to go with the 20 gal set up, not the 15. The 15 is just a smidge too small for BIAB full-volume mashing/boiling.Cons: Some reviews have said the handle on the top is not secured great. I can definitely see how that might be true, it looks a little wonky on mine too, but I haven't had an issue so far. The lid is not super important, so I don't really care about that. The way the handles are connected to the pot is much more secure than how they are connected to the lid, and I see that as more important. Great construction, you won't be disappointed with this purchase.
