A nice seasoning to have in case you don't normally have wine to add to dishes. Adds a great flavor to sauces.

i do like it, i would use it more often but its expensive for something they scrape off the barrels

I add this product to enhance flavors... works well

We were hoping to use this Merlot powder to sprinkle atop some Merlot truffles for a neat garnish. Not only was the package punctured upon removal from the padded envelope, but the powder was a pale tan color, not at all the bright, beautiful red in the advertisement. The taste was quite bitter, and challenging to eat straight. Didn't really hit the mark for what we were hoping, but we ended up adding a tiny bit to the truffle filling to still get some use of it.

I do not drink wine but my recipes often call for red wine and so I do not ever have any on hand. I found this product and tried it in a recent au jus sauce and it worked wonderfully. The color was a good solid red and gave the right wine flavor to my sauce. I look forward to using it successfully in future recipes!
