Will these blades also fit the 10-049 (the us version) stanley knife?

These blades are made for the Stanley 10-598 Knife not the 10-049. The 10-598 is made for the UK market and uses the 5901B even though they look very similar they are not interchangeable.

Stanley's website as of today says their 1-11-221 blades are made in the UK. And if you zoom in on the images of the blades on Amazon's ad, you can see they say "STANLEY 11-221" then below that "5901 - ENGLAND" which is indeed how the true quality Stanley blades are marked. But you should know by now that you run the risk of getting fakes or clones when buying from third party sellers on Amazon. Even Amazon sometimes gets fooled.
