Bookshelf speakers with accurate sound and great bottom end
The Black Ash Oberons were purchased as replacements for our Dali Zensors. They are used as Front L&R speakers on our home cinema set up. The front grills are removable and the back panel includes a bass port and a pair of binding posts that can also be used with banana plugs. Check the dimensions before purchasing, they are quite deep. My impression is that they sound considerably clearer and have a far better bass response. Check the dimensions before purchasing, they are quite deep. Ours were provided by Peter Tyson Online via Amazon and correctly delivered next day in a one hour slot by DPD. Recommended.

wow.... just WOW!!!
I decided (after only a few weeks) to upgrade from my Spektor 1s. Don't get me wrong, the Spektors are simply superb..... I just wanted something for a bigger room.I wasn't sure I'd see much difference. How wrong I was! The Oberon 3s are beyond awesome. Well worth the money. They are leagues ahead of the Spektors..... straight out of the box. Heaven knows how they'll perform after a few weeks 'running in'!?

Wow.
Says they need 100 hours to run in. Got Peppers remixed vinyl on and it sounds incredible. Only going through basic Marantz amp and Sony deck but wow wow wow. Can’t wait to put Electric Ladyland on. Jimi will be sat next to me that night. Bargain. Big solid speakers that look beautiful. Bargain. Just buy in light oak people.

Very good speakers - recommended
This is a musical and very enjoyable speaker.Give them time to run in to sound really good (as with most speakers) as straight out of the box the timing of music was restrained but a few hours with music going through them sorted that out. There is resolution of detail, a good soundstage, great bass depth and an engaging sound that enjoys having the volume turned up. Dynamic and natural sound. Very much recommended. The only negative view here is regarding the vinyl wrap of the speaker (black ash) - it’s just okay, and looks fragile for a £500 speaker. If scratched or knocked I could imagine it will look tatty quite easily. Shame a real veneer couldn’t be used somehow... maybe I am expecting too much. Don’t let this dissuade you from a purchase though as overall they are solid and well made.

Superb Speakers
Originally I bought the Kef Q350's with Marantz PM5005 which sounded very unnatural and had very little bass. Replaced the Marantz with a Denon PMA-720ae. That improved the overall sound quite a bit. The bass were good almost to much and the mids still just sounded unnatural and the highs had something missing. It was fatigueing listening for longer than 5 minutes.Replaced the Kefs with Dali Oberon 3's and the sound improved drastically. Natural mids, life like natural sounding vocals. Snare drums and symbals sounded crisp and clear. The highs are truly revealing. Bass is a little less than the q350's but better sounding and still more than enough for my taste. Bass is also tight and can reach into the low 30hz's.

Stiff competition! Revels
Fab sound, plenty of bass with 7” woofers ... then paired with a good amp, need to be placed at least a foot+ away from the wall for improved bass, well made/ solid, nice finish, classy .
