I dont know but it works very well! The attachments help get into small spaces very well!

Q: Can it clean my dog's excess hair?

This will pick up your dog's hair but it certainly will NOT do a complete job and you will have to go over the same places multiple times. I would recommend using a pet hair cleaning brush first and then using the vacuum to pick up the hair after. The suction on this vacuum would not even get my own hair out of my rugs. I had to pick them up with my finger tips.
