Q: I'm looking for a good ballpoi t pen that doesn't smear. are these gel or ink??

These pens are disaster. They use some kind of liquid inc, which bleeds through even 32lb semigloss paper. I promptly threw them away. After years of experimentation, I found Uniball as the best Ink pens and Pentel the best gel pens.

Q: In the photo, the pens look so long and slim, but in customer's photos, they're so short and chubby; what's up with that??

They are NOT long and slim. The pens are a little chubby and are comparable to regular fountain and gel pen lengths. They still are excellent writing tools and provide outstanding quality results.

Q: Will a schneider topball 850 refill work with these pens?

Schneider topball 850 refill doesn't work for these pens. It is not suitable.

Q: Will these write on transparent sticky notes?

Don’t know but I would not purchase. These are more like .8 or 1.0 wide. They are terrible!
