Faces Of Snuff

great movie, done in the tradition of faces of death but using faux snuff, they put this film together really well various directors different styles the gore content is very high the way the short films have been joined together is very good,i highly recommend this film for the gore content, the effects, and for some of the directors if you like great gore filled underground film making then you wont be dissapointed grab this film because the price is to good to miss out on this film.

This is a series of unconnected found snuff films from silent 8mm to silent VHS and bad tracking to Internet video. In the opening they claim snuff films were purposely filmed poorly to add realism and not because they didn't know what they are doing. Some of the films included sex and rape. For supposedly real films there was a lot of cut aways missing the action that real snuff films include. We see people killed by suffocation and strangulation. We also have the knife with red dyed Karo syrup on it being dragged across skin making exaggerated cuts. There are actual films of killing and suicide on line, I am not sure where that market has gone, although I am sure it is still there.There is a healthy amount of nudity. No sense killing a woman with her top on. There was a scene of disembowelment, but again the film did the cut away. So if the idea was to create real looking snuff films, they failed. I did like the fifties announcer who showed us perverted pictures and told us where to find them and not look at them. That works.Guide: F-word, sex, nudity, rape.

I bought this awhile back, it’s like VHS but with only snuff, different directors came to together they made this... here we have Faces Of Snuff, it has a found footage feel to it. Each short film is made by a different director, during the film you will see flash backs or fore shadow of a film as if you’re watching a messed VHS tape. Except there is no plot. I don’t know what they were going for, I remember watching this and about the time it was over I was thinking “what the hell did I just watch?”

The reviews for the DVD varied, this movie just sucks, no good scenes, doesn't make sense, crappy special fx... Anyone can make a DVD now, and anyone can sell it on Amazon... I'm skipping indie horror from now on, and sticking to what I know

A warm up to something more profound and better structured. Definitely not one of the more notable horror anthologies to spend time and money on,but if you're a softie when it comes to this particular niche, then you might as well take a gamble on something that's cheap and unforgivably satisfying ...;that is if guilty pleasures are absolutely shameless.

Killer Lil film. Def. Worth the 10 bucks if u like anthologies and snuff films you'll like this some cool fx. All in all Worth it. Hope they make a 2 & 3 extra. I'll buy em ☺ keep me coming
