Yamaha YHT-4910UBL 5.1-Channel Home Theater System

What a great piece of technology, sound is very clear and you can connect a lot of devices.I use it for my PS3, XBOX 360, Ipod, smart tv, piano keyboard.The 3D pass really works, i tryed that playing COD black ops 2 and the picture quality was as good as playing with PS3 directly connected to the tv.I recommend this receiver a 100% and i give it two thumbs up!!Thank you Yamaha for this amazing home theater

Receiver unit was dead on arrival. I plugged it in after running all cables through walls (my mistake) and when i hit the power button, the unit clicked 2-3 times and never came on. The unit looks very nice, and the speakers look really good.

Great sound for a good value. We got this set to go with a new TV for movie watching. Has been great. Only grump, and not very significant, is that I wish the speakers were a bit smaller.

The system sounds good but I have to turn the volume up about two-thirds of the way to get average volume for a 12 x 16 room. Trying to get the Yamaha to work with other components such as an HDTV, Blu-ray player, DVR, etc proved somewhat difficult. My purchase was mainly to use for sound with my Panasonic HDTV but I have been unsuccessful in configuring the Audio Return Channel to work with the TV or for the TV and AVR to turn on/off together. The owner's manual on CD was worthless to me so I had to print out and bind a copy. Even with a paper copy, the manual is not very easy to follow. The front and rear speakers come with both a threaded insert and a keyhole for mounting. I found the threaded insert seemed a little flimsy and the speaker case flexed so my preferred mounting method did not work out for me. Altogether I am not really disappointed but then again I am not fully satisfied. I suppose this is about par for the price range.

Excellent equipment! Works just fine. Easy to set up and go. Audio quality and volume is pretty good for a home theater in a reasonable room space. I was able to hook up HDMI devices as well as PC.

Geez what can I tell. Best investment ever. Still after 1 year, solid as rock. Crisp sound, great quality. HDMI, projector, Latest Chromecast audio (make sure to check Hi-Fi receiver option in settings), Laptop, iOS streaming you name it, he got it. You can connect a lot into this receiver.Believe me, if you are looking at this price range, you must get it.

Very poor (low) FM sensitivity. Needed to add an active antenna in a area known as of good FM reception!Mediocre speakers sound output!

its been over a year and its still working great. We use it daily and is easy to set up and sounds fantastic. We used our own front L&R speakers, the rest from the package.
