Q: Please confirm the exact dimensions of this case. Micro site says 59cm not 52cm which is too big as hand luggage for most airlines.

It is 59cm we do recommend that you always check with the airline prior to travelling as airline regulations do vary.

Not used on Emirates but the sizing is recommended for all airlines as standard

I don’t believe you can remove the luggage. You pull the wheels forward to use as a luggage/stroller combo.

Q: Does this fit in the footwell space (to extend the airplane seat, I mean, for little feet to rest on)?

It is superb for the airport and does facilitate speedy progress, but it won't fit to provide a foot rest. We also have a JetKids ride on which does the foot rest/bed much better. I think they call it the BedBox now.
