Vanity Fair Women's Tailored Spinslip 10158

I had high hopes for this slip, as it looked like a longer version of one that I bought years ago and loved. It is very silky, so it doesn't catch on clothes.However, because it is cut on the bias (making it stretchy) it twists under my clothes whenever I walk. It is particularly bad whenever I am carrying a bag (like my purse). It might just be the way I walk, but it makes it almost unwearable. It would be a better slip if it weren't a bias cut

I was extremely pleased with the quality, feel, craftsmanship and look of this slip. I planned to order more but then I wore it. Other reviewers said this garment twisted on you. It does, so much so that every 30 minutes to an hour, I had to reorient the slip so half of it wouldn't be showing out of the top of my dress. I would have returned, but the shipping to and from would add insult to injury. Another garment that will go in the back of the closet. :(

I read other one-star reviews about the slip twisting to the side and thought, "well, maybe they walk funny or something". Ha! This slip really does twist, and not after a full day of wearing it, either. I put it on less than half an hour ago and have had to adjust it twice. I can't stand this thing and have just ordered another brand to replace it.

FIT as expected,

I have worn this slip as a nightgown for many years. It has no snaps, buttons or bows to disturb me. I have probably purchased a dozen over the years. They wear well and wash and dry perfectly.

I needed a white slip, above the knee, like shown in the picture. What arrived is a slip that goes almost to my ankles! I plan to just cut it off and hem it to the correct length (faster than shipping it back). I also will have to take it in, as it just falls off my shoulders -- this is because of the "reversible" feature that I didn't pay much attention to (you can wear it with the V in the front or the back, so there are no darts....it is cut like a potato sack). The 10-158 model slip that I received would make a nice nightgown; it is certainly not a "tailored" slip. FYI, recently added to the item is a third color choice for this item (beige, and if you click on that picture you will see a picture of what my "white above the knee" slip actually looks like lengthwise -- almost to my ankles!).

This is a terrific slip, and very versatile! Its very comfortable and light under a dress, and does it's job keeping things flowing. But it's really wonderful as a nightgown. The stretchiness makes it very comfortable to wear to bed, and the seams are barely noticeable. I have a couple in both lengths, as the longer one keeps me warmer on a cool night, but it seems like some reviewers have been confused by the sizing info, so just be aware that the second number (18 or 32) is the length from hip to hem.

This slips twists to one side and is unwearable.
