LIKE A MEG RYAN-TOM HANKS MOVIE!
Family. Work. Love. How do we juggle these three important responsibilities –– and be true to our own dreams? A young couple in an arranged marriage, living in an extended family, struggle to find meaningful work in India while taking care of elderly parents. Burdened by daily life responsibilities, they barely have time to talk. Cheated and deceived by an unscrupulous designer, a false friend, a disapproving dad, and corrupt hospital personnel, the couple overcomes each obstacle and humiliation together, pursuing their dream to create a WOW fashion line. In America, we would call this a Horacio Alger story, in which a poor, hard-working person achieves success, through perseverance, hard work, and integrity. This story add something more: A husband and a wife, who truly love each other and support each other's dream. Another important plot line in this film is the relationship between a father and his two sons. Like the father Willy Loman in the play "Death of a Salesman," the father feels beaten down and sacrifices the career he truly excelled at and loved –– being a tailor –– to feed his family. Torn between financial security in a horrible job and pursuing his dream, the second son makes a daring choice. And it makes all the difference to his own and his family's happiness. In this heartwarming film, I felt I saw an authentic family in India. There is no Bollywood dancing in the film, but a bus ride winks at that tradition as the passengers move along in rhythm and harmony. I loved this film. Its special effects are the human heart.

All I can say is Thank you
I've not yet watched a quarter of the film but felt compelled to write a review and thank you for such a great movie.Coming from a poor background and being still financially vulnerable, I feel every scene of the movie deep in my bone and can relate to it all over.I took my fiance for a medical emergency to Delhi India in June 2018. After her procedure, I took her to Agra and the Taj Mahal. There, I bought to Panjabis that needed alteration. I bargained with the shop owner to reduce the price to the bare minimum. When taking for alteration to a tailor sitting outside in the heat of June, I paid him around 600 rupees. My fiance initially was mad of me why paying too much. I just reminded her of his bare feet and the heat and told here that he lives with so little money and if you pay him for your dress you will get blessed forever by him. Years, now that she recalls the experience, she thanks me a lot. Of course, she is so young and needs some experience to understand such thinking even though she comes from the same background as I do.

Very good movie
Excellent movie that shows how a wife though cant earn still can support a family not just by making food but also supporting husband in giving ideas, recognizing husband talent and encouraging to do better. A wife can be a driving force behind making the family successful. Many woman can learn so much from it if they want to instead of complaining. Women who are not working think they are cocking at home and that is a very big deal and no taking no other responsibilities at home or encouraging husband to do better and keep complaining if husband cant earn a lot of money and also complaining husband is not taking out to places and buying things. Come on wife just cooks and expects husband to earn take all other responsibilities like paying bills, getting things fixed at home and manging home. If wife does more instead of complaining the whole family can do better.

What was that....!! loved it......
Absolutely loved the movie.... I was stuck in my marital issues for a few years so missed this movie....But OMG yaar.... Varun Dhawan aapne toh bench mark essehi raise kur diyaa hein. The chocolate next door boy has come through by far yaar. So much passion in your acting and to the Character. Anushka Sharma thod phad as usual. But even seeing so many performances of the rest of the star cast after such a long time like Raghubir Yadav Sir. Specially the Noushad charecter the tokri walla in Hum Tum... every character made the movie complete, Just a whole simple dream taking a leap beyond measures. Beautiful movie ....and surely a feather in Varun Dhawans acting career.....

Needle & thread Mad in India!
This movie features popular cast like Varun Dhawan plays the role of 'Mauji' who is portrayed as a simple village peon & simpleton who also can stitch with a needle and thread on a sewing machine and Anushka Sharma as his housewife Mamta. Both are shown as simple young couple in rural India who start their own small-scale clothing business. Anushka's role of Mamta was better than most of her other performances in the past. Varun Dhawan's acting was also reasonably good. Although his best still remains as seen in the movie OctoberOverall, it was a refreshing movie to watch that depicts somewhat true rural India family although there were some scenes towards the end of the movie which I felt were too-rushed exaggerated to unrealistic levels & yet nice scenes that ends the movie on a positive note. This is more or less 3 ½ stars but to be fair I am rating the movie with four stars!

Frustrating and badly made movie.
1 hr 40 min of the movie was completely negative. Anything that could go wrong went wrong with the nice couple. The frustration kept mounting. Everybody was so negative until the end of the movie when everything became positive and everybody was suddenly good. I've never hated a movie. This one I do. Very very frustrating!
