Door Mounted Mini Basketball Hoop - Mini Pro I Door Mount

The backboard is excellent - perfect for my sons room & even occasional light dunking.My only complaint is the mini ball it came with - it is rippinmg apart after only a few days of use.The backboard is much better than the SKLZ model, but their ball is better.I will probably have to buy a new ball separately.

So overall this is built well and seems like it will last. Kiddo loves playing ball in his room, but I do have to remind from time to time that he's playing ball in the house and to calm down a bit! So, if you don't think you'll want to hear the ball bounce - think twice. If you won't be bothered by that, then buy it!

Excellent - good quality for the price

This goal has been perfect for our grandsons from 3 to 14 years old. I had a small issue putting it together and when I phoned the company number given on the directions someone answered on a Saturday morning and was able to help me right away. Very helpful! I highly recommend this brand!

Have 12yr old and 14yr old grandsons who use this everyday. It is one of thebest mini basketball hoop going. They are not gentle people, it is taken all theabuse they give.

I first purchased the larger 2.0 version of these top-of-the-line hoops for my 4-year-old son, to replace a cheap plastic Huffy version that broke in short order from simply banging slightly against the closet door when opening the bedroom door it was mounted on. We liked it so much, I wanted to to purchase a second one, so we could have one in my son's upstairs bedroom and another downstairs. While the larger version could (barely) fit on our front door, I was a little worried it might cause some air leakage in the winter, so I pried it off and put it back upstairs, and I purchased the smaller 1.0 version to hang on a small downstairs closet door (that was too small to comfortably hang the 2.0). Since the prices are similar, I would think most buyers would opt for the larger 2.0, but my experience shows that there is still use for the smaller 1.0. It hangs about 4" higher than the 5'7 3/8" for the larger 2.0 on my door, and the rim is 9" vs. 10.25", so it's a little more of a challenge to (dunk and/or) score on the 1.0 --esp. with my low ceilings, making it hard to get much arc from a distance. For older kids (and/or higher ceilings), the smaller 1.0 version can be advantageous in getting the rim 4" higher. I'm 42 now, and I have fond memories of my Nerf hoop when I was a kid. But this is WAY better! A 9" steel break-away rim mounted on a 1/4" thick polycarbonate backboard?! Wow. Go to the manufacturer's/seller's web site to see a video of a 180lb dude doing pull ups on one of these rims, if you're wondering how sturdy it is. And they also offer the choice of a 5" foam vs rubber ball. I prefer the softer/quieter foam balls upstairs, where we can't dribble on carpet anyway, but I also enjoy using the more realistic rubber balls downstairs on the tile and hardwood foors. I'm also very impressed with the door mounting system. The Huffy was scratching the door and frame a bit, and making it slightly difficult to close (quietly). But the JustinTymeSports door mount manages to not only fit my son's bedroom door great but it's even wide enough to (barely) accomodate our front outside door with a very tight fit. Everything about these hoops screams sturdy and well engineered and built. Highly recommended for kids of all ages, as I am enjoying it almost as much as my son. We shoot around in the foyer before bed now, making that transition easier and more fun, and/or we shoot around in his room once I finally get him up there.

This product is OUTSTANDING in every way. Heavy Duty. My 10-year old son loves this goal. After having purchased three (3) SKLZ products the past year or so, (2 mini's and 1 XL) my son cracked the plexiglass backboards on all three even though he was not abusing them. I was looking for something more durable and decided to give this product a try. I am very glad I did. This product is MUCH more sturdy than the SKLZ. The plexiglass is close to three times as thick. The rim is a heaver gauge metal. The rim breakaway system is designed better and feels much more solid and realistic than the SKLZ. The door mounting system is also a much superior design to the SKLZ products by allowing the goal to be easily used on either in-swing or out-swing doors equally. In my house, this is a BIG deal.My son likes to play basketball in two different places in our home. One door opens inward toward the room and there is no problem with either product on these types of doors. However, the other door where my son likes to play opens outward into a stairway. This product works well on this type of door as well because of the way the door mounts are designed. The SKLZ product requires you to try to close the door onto the actual backboard. Very poor design.This JustinTyme product is a good value although more expensive than the SKLZ. Take it from a Dad who's purchased three different SKLZ products that didn't hold up very well... this is a SOLID product and you won't be disappointed.For full disclosure. I did not order this through Amazon.com I went straight to the company's website after seeing the product here. I ordered on-line there. I was very shortly afterwards sent an e-mail with UPS tracking number. Received the product carefully packed 2-days later. Excellent company to deal with. I could not more highly recommend this product.

My kid's love their JustInTyme mini-hoop because it's built to last. There is no worry on the big time dunks. This is not a cheap throw-away plastic mini-hoop. Built with a thick strong backboard, a strong steel break-away rim and a great price for such a solid product. This is top notch!!!
