Really good quinoa
I make a beet tabbouleh from Dr. Weil's website. It's super healthy and it's supposed to have red quinoa. I used up all my white quinoa before finally buying this one and it really makes the salad perfect, especially since the beets would bleed into the white quinoa before. I used a two to one water to quinoa ratio and follow the package directions for stove top quinoa and it turned out perfect. I will update my review if I make this in the rice cooker... I am not sure yet what water ratio I should use in the rice maker.

No bitterness
I messed up and forgot to rinse the quinoa before cooking and it still came out tasting great with no bitterness. I suspect it's probably pre-washed even though they don't advertise it as such. It seems very clean.

Clean, flavorful, good quality product.
Red quinoa has a heavier texture compared to white, making it taste nuttier and is a bit chewier. Red variety contains more fiber in comparison with the other two kinds (white and black), but overall has the same nutritional value as white quinoa. In general, quinoa has a bitter and gritty outer coating called saponin, which needs to be rinsed away before cooking (under cold water for 30 seconds in a mesh strainer).~ Though technically a seed, Quinoa is classified as a whole grain and is a good source of plant protein and fiber. One cup cooked provides about 8 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber.~ Unlike some plant proteins, quinoa is a complete protein, meaning that it contains all nine essential amino acids that our bodies cannot make on their own. It is also an excellent source of many vitamins (especially vitamin B9) and minerals.Quinoa is also naturally gluten-free and can be eaten safely if one has gluten intolerance such as celiac disease.

Very good
Updated review-Overall very good, would give an excellent if the date were not so close to expiration. I purchased this at very end of March. I noticed the expiration date is in less than two months and there are 30 some 1/4 cup servings, dry. This means I have to get cooking soon to have it fresh! LOL. I am cooking it in a rice cooker with homemade vegetable broth. I rinsed it two times before putting it in. Will update ratings and review with a more detailed when it is done as I am having it for lunch. Ta, ta.Update:It came out very good and it is also worth noting in a randomized controlled 2017 study of eating a cup of quinoa daily the participants that took the quinoa over 12 weeks had 36% lower triglycerides. This is one of many nutritional benefits of quinoa

Good red quinoa
I just cooked my first batch of this quinoa, and it’s good. Nothing to complain about, and the price is much better than what I had been paying. It’s as good as the organic from Sprouts or Sun Organic. I prefer red to any other colors, and it’s very easy to cook in my instant pot. I cook one pound (or 227 grams) at a time, with 1 2/3 c water for 14 minutes on pressure cook, and it comes out perfect. I highly recommend adding kosher salt and extra virgin olive oil. Before I tried adding salt and oil, I did not like quinoa, but adding those makes it much good.

Red Quinoa from Happy Andes
This is an excellent product and good value. I bought my first bag 6 weeks ago and I'm back now to buy more. I only wish they packaged it in 5 pound bags, which might bring down the cost per pound a little.

Great affordable red quinoa
I was looking for an affordable non gmo red quinoa between 3lb to 5lb, because it's hard to find at retail. I've cooked two batches, came out great.

Yummy quinoa, easy to cook, and reasonably priced
I bought this quinoa because my Kroger’s charges so much for any type of quinoa, so it’s always better for me to buy in bulk. Rather than shop around my city trying to find a decent buy, I purchased this. Very happy! I only made it once this far, but turned out perfectly when I followed the directions. Very nice starch substitute now that I’m not eating rice and pasta as I did in the past.
