A few times I had to pick my cards off the ground being glad I heard them fall out
1 year later. After some use the pockets or sleeves or whatever you want to call them that hold your credit cards become stretched out and no longer hold said credit cards in place. Where you have 2 of those sleeves I usually put 2 cards in each, which I think is a sensible number but they do have the tendency to fall out if the wallet is upside down not opened. So a bit risky. A few times I had to pick my cards off the ground being glad I heard them fall out. For the premium price this product isn't that great. What I liked about it is the coin pouch and a little secret pocket as well. Unfortunately those 2 features wont sell me another Bellroy wallet. The wallet has great reviews but notice they are mostly of the people who just got that wallet. Most of the reviews of 1 year or more are a bit more accurate.

Too tall for US currency.
While I like the clever pockets, it isn't nearly as slim as it claims to be. Any kind of money-clip (external or internal) wallet will be at least as slim, if not slimmer. And if you only use US currency, you'll find the wallet to be a bit too deep/tall. The card slots are distressingly tight, but I expect them to 'wear' in.The leather seems like it's a bit too supple to stand the test of time, so we'll have to see about that. On the plus side, the orange color is nice.*UPDATE*The card slots do indeed wear in. The color does fade at expected chafing points, but nothing terrible. If this wallet were to be improved, I would eliminate the leather flap (which often catches currency at only the wrong times) on the hidden pocket in favor of, say, a cloth flap in addition to a cloth pull tab to make extraction easier. Additionally, add U-shape cutouts for the same reason. I'd imagine getting rid of that leather flap would save a bit on manufacturing, too.

Here's how it looks like after just one year
I have the old version for just over a year and the wallet is falling apart. While it is a very nice shape and fits notes from multiple countries, the leather is too thin for daily use.My wallet is only kept in my pocket nowhere else. It scuffs so easily and wears down at places where the leather fold. I've never had this sort of problem with any other wallet before. Just take a look at my photos before you buy.

Horrible Quality - Not Worth The Money!!
I received this wallet, which was suppose to be brand new, and I received it in horrible condition. The wallet itself is lopsided and doesn’t close straight, like it should. This can be seen when it’s closed and it can be seen in the uneven material when it’s opened. In addition, the inside was already dirty! The light brown part for the card slot already had a black smudge, it already had dirt spots all in the inside, and it had black spots on the outside of the wallet. It’s not worth the $89 and I would return it, but unfortunately the packaging was messed up, and I threw it away. We’re military overseas and it’s almost more hassle to wait to send it back and wait for a replacement, which would take 2+ weeks to process and receive and I need a wallet to carry around cash, coins, and cards. On top of that, the price dropped to $69 AFTER I ordered it and Amazon doesn’t price match their own items. Upset and not satisfied all around.

Wallet that wants to be slim.
I love this wallet. Before i bought it, i dreamed of being one of those guys with a slim fold, but somehow my wallets always ended up over stuffed with unnecessary stuff.I went through a phase of using ultra small wallets, trying to slim down. However, they were always too small to hold the stuff i actually need. This Belroy wallet is (for me) the magic size to hold exactly what i need, without being accomodating enough to accept other reciepts, business cards, id cards, rfid cards, and other junk i dont use regularly.I keep my ID, 2 credit cards, 1 atm card, 1 health insurance card, and 5-20 us dollar bills. It can hold maybe 1-2 more cards, but not much more.

Nice Wallet...BUT....won't be as thin as it may initially look...
I had been looking for a SLIMMER quality wallet for a long long time. I scoured Amazon but always found myself coming back to Bellroy. To make a long story short I received the Bellroy Note Sleeve. Out of the box it IS rather slim/small...but like many slim wallets you can't defy natural science. What I mean is, soon as you put 5-6 cards in it plus some cash I found the Note Sleeve to not be any more slim than my old no name leather bifold which lasted me over 12 years!!. I think one problem here is the Bellroy tries to be so slim...when you close it, the credit cards butt up against each other, same as if you were to stack say 6 credit cards one on top of the other. ODDLY I noticed with a slim more traditional billfold type wallet, the standard way to hold credit cards is to use slots up and down...so that way when you close the wallet if say you don't have 1 card in the exact same slot right side vs left, a traditional bill fold wallet can be more slim because the cards do not literally stack up against each other exactly at the same exact height from left side open to right. I'm not explaining this too well but to sum up my novel...though I liked THIS Bellroy wallet, it didn't save me anything on being slim...and the leather is very thin. I actually ended up returning this wallet. BTW the Caramel color was quite a bit more darker brown than tan, as the pics show and my monitor is calibrated. I ended up spending a bit more money at a local Brooks Bros store, but the billfold wallet I got seems thinner and of higher quality than the Bellroy I received. I hate to leave a semi negative review here as the Bellroy is a nice quality wallet....I just didn't feel it was worth the price, and most of all after you load it up..it's not any thinner than a traditional semi thin no name bifold leather wallet...at least this was my experience....That said this note sleeve IS a very nice wallet..just didn't suit my needs and ended up NOT so thin...SO....

Disappointed
I got this for my boyfriend as part of his Christmas gift and gave it to him early. While it looks and feel very nice, it was deflected. The two card slots on the right could not fit any cards! The slit was cut too short. The slot on the left was fine though. I'm so disappointed in the craftsmanship because I thought this should have been the minimum.

Oh dear
So why does everybody rave over this wallet? Having used it for several months, it is still very stiff and the opening for the money compartment is very tight. It will comfortably hold 6-8 cards thereafter feels bulky. Things might have been different if it was 10mm bigger in width and height.Nope, it hasn't changed my life. Not one of my best buys and in my opinion doesn't represent good value for the money.

STAY AWAY!
Loved the look of this bellroy wallet, wanted a new expensive one, so using a voucher i got for my birthday i purchased one... first couple of days i was pleased, less than 7 days after purchase all the edges started to peal off really bad, i did not stuff the wallet (3 cards) or stretch it or even share the pocket... I contacted bellroy after several emails without reply i got sent a new one under warranty... Guess what same thing AGAIN, i give up, i would ask for a refund but i get the impression it will be impossible... £65 for this is terrible, ive had wallets £10/15 from Amazon before real leather and 10x better quality. Very disappointed. Stay away!

Excellent small wallet, does not crack your cards up!
I bought my first Bellroy in 2014 because I was fed up with my other wallets cracking my cards up due to the positioning in the wallet and it looked like it would do the job. I have 20 cards in the wallet which have all been OK for 5 years as opposed to 2 at the most from other wallets which cracked them because they were placed horizontally in the wallet; I had to replace my bank card 3 times in 3 years before using this wallet! This wallet gives you the chance to place notes in but the coin option is one I would not go with since you need clear access to them and use without having to fumble around all the while. The leather aged beautifully and got really soft before over usage has forced me to try again.Excellent product for small, useful and safe.

Good but ...
I'd give it 5 stars, but the stitching on the inside lining was not even close to straight. Not acceptable in a £70 wallet. I returned it. I'll look for it in a shop where it is easier to select. PS -- Having looked, I am not even sure this is a good buy, variable workmanship aside (although the leather itself is fairly good). I am downgrading my stars vote. Consider it if you really still need a full-size wallet.

I love this wallet!
I love this wallet so much! It is so much slimmer and more space efficient than my old wallet and I love the all my notes fit in without sticking out the top. The coin pocket is handy although I don’t carry much cash with me. It has 3 card slots for important cards and then a slot where you can put lots more with a handy little pull tab that pulls them out. Overall a very good wallet, lovely leather it is made from.
