Surprisingly comfortable and packs small!
TLDR: most comfortable I've found (tried 3 others) and packs surprisingly small (13in macbook pro for scale). Tested on a red-eye flight in economy basic and got decent sleep!I think most people don’t realize what a fundamental accessory a travel pillow is whenever you are traveling long distances. It’s frustrating enough to sleep on a bed without a pillow, but humans were certainly not meant to sleep sitting up. Modern transportation has forced us into small spaces for long hours and the need to sleep sitting up has emerged. Travel pillows are critical for keeping your head in a comfortable place throughout a long flight, train ride, or bus trip.It blows my mind to see all the people on red-eye flights without travel pillows. They might save $40 on a good travel pillow, but they ruin their first day or two on the trip. You are paying hundreds of dollars for the flight, only to ruin part of your trip! I admit I used to be one of those people, it seemed like a hassle to pack an extra thing for this purpose, especially because so many take up so much space! But I travel a lot and at some point, I decided that the latest 3 days of neck pain post a red-eye flight was just not worth it so I've been testing travel pillows for the last few months to find the right one. I think this one is it!The problem with travel pillows is that most of them simply do not work - they fail to prevent your head from tipping over when you actually do fall asleep. And that tipping over wakes you up, defeating the purpose of the pillow. A small minority of the travel pillows out there do support your head but they come with their own set of new problems. Some make your neck so sweaty that it wakes you up. Others are just too stiff or uncomfortable to actually allow you to fall asleep. Still others work pretty well, but they are too bulky to carry around and getting through the airport with them introduces its own frustrations. This travel pillow is the first I have found that solves the fundamental problem without adding new problems. It does an excellent job of supporting your head, preventing it from tipping in any direction - including from tipping forward. Pro-tip, you can turn this pillow 90-degrees to the left or right to give you some unique options in uncomfortable airplane seats. It compresses down into a very small size so you can put it into your backpack or carry-on. I just attach the draw string to a loop on my backpack for quick access when I start to get sleepy. It packs down so well, that the makers should have spelled it: alPACKa!The final aspect that I appreciate is that it just doesn’t overheat your neck. And the plastic pieces on the strings clip into each other, so you can easily adjust and fix the fit as you like it.If you are serious about actually getting some sleep on a long trip, this is the pillow to get. Sure you can save $20 by buying one of the cheaper ones, but I wouldn’t use one of those if you gave me $50. I would just arrive at my destination all miserable and it would ruin the first day or two of my trip… it’s just not worth it.Cons of this pillow are small: I did notice that it needed a few hours to off-gas that memory foam factory smell when I first got it. But after 3 hours of just leaving it on a table unpacked, the smell was totally gone.

Won’t tighten enough if you have a slender neck
I am looking for a travel pillow that will work with my Sony over the ear noise cancelling headphones model WH-1000XM2.I am female, 5”4”I ordered the following pillows:1. Alpaca Memory Foam Travel Pillow. The issue with this is that I cannot make the pillow tight enough, at its tightest setting.2. MLVOC Travel Pillow 100% Pure Memory Foam Neck Pillow. This one has an odor like you just painted a room with latex paint. The issue with this is that I cannot make the pillow tight enough, at its tightest setting.3. Cabeau Evolution Cool Travel Pillow. Very comfortable pillow, but does not work with my headphones at all. If I wasn’t going to be wearing my headphones, this is the pillow I would choose4. Cabeau Evolution S3 Travel Pillow, Memory Foam. This was my runner up. The pillow had great neck support and works with my headphones (I do tilt the headband back or forward so the ears sit at an angle), but it squished my ears and I think that would end up being annoying on a long trip.5. BCOZZY Memory Foam Chin Supporting Travel Pillow. The winner. The pillow has Velcro to stay closed so it supports my neck, doesn’t sit too high and works with my headphones (I do tilt the headband back or forward so the ears sit at an angle).

Comfortable and super compact, great for travel!
I've been a frequent traveler (2 flights per week) for the past few years and have tried many, many pillows to make travel more comfortable. This is the first pillow that actually works for me. It's incredibly compact and very easy to fit into the small bag that it comes in. Additionally, it's extremely comfortable on a plane or car. There are many ways to orient the pillow. My favorite position is when I turn it so the U shape is sideways because it provides great chin support, which I have never gotten from other pillows. Overall, great head and neck support. The memory foam is also super comfortable. It feels much sturdier than your classic microbead pillow. Highly recommend! Wish I had come across this product years ago.
