Does the top of the Apple lock into place and stay on well?

I used some clear plastic tape to secure mine. The kids do not screw or snap on.

Would these work in a water game for a fall festival without taking on water and sinking or ruining prize inside?

They dont really have a good seal, but they would definitely float if you could get them to. Super cute. great size for little hands.
