GardenaPremium Water Stop, 13 mm (1/2 inch) - 15 mm (5/8 inch): Water Stop, Frost-Resistant, Packaged (18253-20)

This replaced the original Gardena hose connector I had at the hose end of one of my automatic Gardena hose reels. The original connector broke, perhaps frost damage. I have never had that problem before - and I am using five of the reels at two locations. This new connector is much sturdier than the original, so it will hopefully last a long time.

Gardena makes some 5/8" hoses which are too large for this connector. The heavy duty comfort hose 39001 may or may not have a 15 mm ID, but the hose is too thick for this connector. They also make a hose for some of their reels (Classic Hose Cart 60TS Model 8000) which are also too large, one being 16 mm. I bought these based on the advice of Gardena Germany (Gardena Canada is not responsive) which is apparently unaware of hoses on the American market. Their advice is to use 34" fittings. Unfortunately Gardena does not put part numbers on their hose fittings.

Like other reviews this does not fit their own branded hoses that are labeled 5/8

Es gibt natürlich die einfache Version aber hier merkt man schon am Gewicht und der optischen Verarbeitung das man etwas hochwertiges hat.Und durch das Material definitiv robuster und langlebiger.Ist der Preis gerechtfertigt ? Wenn man jetzt 15 Kupplungen braucht vielleicht lieber nicht nehmen (geht schnell ins Geld) aber bei meinen 4-5 geht das schon 👍Kaufempfehlung 🙂

J'ai tout essayé et c'est bien cette nouvelle pièce qui bloque la pression. Dommage 😢 et surtout à ce prix.

Really like these, feels very easy to push on and no leaks. Might seem expensive but I think the quality justifies the price.

I own Gardena 5/8" Original hose, this fitting will not fit onto the ends, significant struggle and simply gave up trying to fit. Do not purchase if you have 5/8", regardless of the claim.I cannot speak to whether it fits 1/2"
