Connects manifold gauge to 134a 14oz cans
Got this to connect my manifold gauge set to the 134a refill cans you can find in most retail and, auto parts stores. Our gauge set hose has a 1/2" ACME female connection that does fit the cans, but no way to pierce (open) the can. This tap has the female 1/2" ACME female inlet that fits the 134a cans, and the 1/2" ACME male outlet that fits the manifold gauge hose. Now I can use the 134a 12, 14, 16 oz size cans to connect to my manifold gauge, and not have to purchase the much larger costlier containers of refrigerant with the valves already on them.We only have occasional need to cap off refrigerant in our cars or freezer, so don't want the inconvenience of having to store the big containers.Have not yet used it, so so not know if the unit is capable of sealing a can with refrigerant left over in it by closing the valve after use, but figure if it doesn't I'll buy a cap fitting for the outlet end to seal it if needed for future use.

Doesn't seal when close.
works fine as far as getting gas into your system but when i was done i needed to keep the refrigerant in the can for future use or to dispose of properly but when i closed it, it didn't close, refrigerant kept coming out so i had to leave the manifold gage on so i can keep it leaking.... now i cna't use my manifold gages until i get this refrigeration out. is this how it's supposed to work or is this thing broken?

It won’t do what the description says, and mine was broke
This does not fit the threads on a standard 134a can. The part that pierces the can is flat and not pointed. The picture is not the same as the actual item. The T handle is broken. I found one that worked very well at autozone for 7$.
