Not quite as described.
We ordered these 100% Egyptian cotton Martex towels, and receieved towels labelled "Westpoint Home" 90% cotton 10% polyester made in Pakistan". Amazon was clueless so I called Westpoint. They bought the Martex name, and they claim these are the same towels, 100% Egyptian cotton LOOP with the polyester just reinforcing the backing. If that's all true, these still feel like the old Martex towels but they are grossly mislabeled, in violation of FTC regulations.

Not 100%cotton and thin.
Apparently “Egyptian Cotton” includes polyester. In today’s market, an awful lot is passing for cotton, like microfleece flannel, and other ‘cottons’ that are actually cheap imitations of cotton. This towel is no exception. It’s thin, slick like a non-cotton, and minimally absorbent. I bought a single dark brown one for a hair towel when I color my hair. It doesn’t have to absorb much, just be a barrier. Sorry I bought this sham of a Martex towel. Amazon should pull this fake towel off the market.

Misleading product description
Product description emphasizes 100% Egyptian cotton but they do say only the loops are 100% -- it's the ground, whatever that is, that's 90% cotton/10% poly. However the towels are made in Pakistan, and I feel misled by description -- it seems to imply either made in Turkey or the US. I'm getting tired of companies buying legacy brand names then using them to manufacture a lesser quality product. Am returning these unused before they start getting linty and falling apart as other reviewers have said. I don't like being hoodwinked.

Worth the cost
I can’t complain too much because these were super cheap! I actually thought I was only buying one towel, so it was a nice surprise to get more! My only complaint about these are the lint that comes off of them! I’ve washed and dried them a number of times. However, when I use them, it leaves lint all over me! Again, they were cheap... totally worth what they cost!

This is not a Martex product, I have a Martex towel from Walmart and liked it so much that I ordered this one from Amazon. The towel I have is very obsorbent much bigger and lot thicker, this towel says West Point on the label and after using it I was still wet. Very disappointed with the product and Amazon

Should be way thicker, softer, and all around nicer for the price
Before I begin, I must clarify one thing. WestPoint Home has had the Martex label for years. I could find documents as far back as 2005, when WestPoint Home (which made Martex) was bought out by Icahn Enterprises. Icahn Industries continues to own the WestPoint Home name and thus, Martex. We are a household of 8 and I am a total budget shopper. I have owned a total of ONE Martex towel my whole life and I was in love with it! It was the best, thickest, softest towel I had ever owned so when I saw a good deal on the navy hand towels (less than $3.50 per towel at the time) with the Martex name in the description, I jumped on it. The price is now, not that cheap, of course. They were probably offloading certain colors which happens a lot, it seems, with towels, sheets, etc. I purchased 3 different brand washcloths/hand towels at the same time just to see how they compared for the money I paid for them. My main reason in purchasing them was to have small cloths and towels available for my teenagers so they would stop using the bath towels to wash their faces and then throw them in the laundry so a bulk purchase of different brands seemed like a good thing to try. I expected the Martex ones to blow the others out of the water because of my previous experience with them and due to the price being so much more than the others. This was not the outcome at all. Results as follows:Pro:A pretty soft towel but not the softest of the 3.Con:Most expensive of the 3, even with the deal I gotThickish but definitely not the thickest and I'd expect more for the priceA very plain looking towel for the price tagNOT 100% Egyptian cotton throughout the whole towelI also agree that Amazon needs to change the label of this towel. The label on the towel says "Westpoint Home" and it should be labeled as such. I think, when Westpoint actually owned this brand, the Martex label meant quality. They were some of the best towels around. I am not sure if Icahn continues to sell Martex quality towels with the Martex label on them (since my only Martex towel was purchased before 2005). If they do, those quality towels are the ones that should be sent to those of us buying these towels because that is what we expect from the Martex name. If not, remove the Martex name off of this advertisement and put WestPoint Home so we know they are not the Martex quality we are awaiting. Also, like others have listed, this is not 100% Egyptian cotton like the first line of the description states. Further down the description is does say "Loops: 100% Egyptian Cotton; Ground: 90% Cotton/10% Polyester" but saying 100% Egyptian cotton as the first line of the description is FALSE ADVERTISING as it's worst.I am sad that this company tried to use the Martex name to push their sub-standard towels and lied in their description of the towels themselves. I try to be honest with those that I deal with and expect them to be honest with me. I will remember this when I come across the "Westpoint Home" label again and anything I see that may belong to Icahn Enterprises. If they want my continued business, they will now have to earn my trust.

Not 100% Cotton
The description says 100% Egyptian cotton. It’s 90% cotton and 10% polyester. These are not Martex towels.

It's okay
It's not super comfortable or smooth, and the quality feel isn't great. I have not thoroughly tested its absorbency, something they tout quite a bit, but for the little I have, it seems to be doing well. The color doesn't look great, but it is of a decent size.Ultimately, the towel I got was a good value for the price

Don’t bother
The add says “matrix” towel — it is not . The quality is thin , not soft . And there were already two pulls in towel as soon as out of the package . Don’t waste you money go to Walmart and even they have better quality. I am only keep as I am moving and don’t need the hassle , but I am sure they will be in garage fairly soon . Disappointed.

It's NOT 100% cotton
I blame myself for not reading the details clearly. It is black, size is advertised. It says Egyptian Cotton but it is not 100% cotton and is polyester blend. For almost $10 each I would say this is NOT what I expect! Let the buyer beware.

Quite good and very affordable
Not exactly thick and plush, nor is it thin as paper. This is quite a good towel and it feels nice and soft. It is a very good value and darn happy I got it at a super duper good price.

Meh..
This towel is pretty cheap quality. Threads were coming out and the feel of it is pretty rough. It does absorb but stays wet for quite some time. I guess you get what you pay for.

Quality
Was not 100% cotton which was a disappointment but used them anyway and was 6inches short of a bath sheet
