Genevieve Avani Reusable Wine Bottle Protector or Gift Bag with Inner Skin and Extra Tough, Leakproof Outer

Wow! This is the third variety of wine protectors I've purchased. And, by far, it's the best packaged and prettiest and most functional ones I've seen. It's a heavy plastic overcoat with bubble pack inside, all shaped like a bottle with 'adventure quality' waterproof closures consisting of two ziploc style zippers PLUS the fold-over and velcro closure. The closure style means that they are re-usable, unlike the other styles that are using adhesives for closure. So, they are affordable as well. These are now in my suitcase as part of my 'permanent collection' of travel necessities. And, I will gladly buy these as gifts for my traveling or wine-loving friends.

I purchased 12 of these two years ago and use 4-5 times a year for transporting wine in suitcases, both domestically and internationally. The multi-level protection in the design eliminates any concern about damage to either the wine or the other suitcase contents. I just purchased 3 more as 2 recently failed near the zip lock seal as I was pulling hard to open. That just illustrates the strength of the seal. I understand the company has improved the zip lock seal since my original purchase so I'm anxious to try the new ones. I highly recommend this product.

They work! Made it through the airport craziness and the flight. Add all the jostling and banging around my suitcase no doubt endured. And we made it. They have an interior bubble wrap shield, which slides into another, heavy plastic wrap that seals by way of heavy duty zip bag seals, and then Velcro to double it all over. I didn't test it but it appears this method would prevent it from leaking, even if it broke. Good product, well worth it. I used them to carry 750ml bottles of wine but the pouches are big enough to accommodate a 2 liter bottle.Update: used it during my vacation to carry a few cans of beer, put them in there with some ice and it stayed cold for quite some time, and didn't leak. Cool!

These are definitely not worth the extra money. I opted to buy these because they were reusable. The Velcro/sealing at the end is great .... Unfortunately the rest if the bag is terrible. The seams are weak and easily split. The padding is much less than the other brands that I have used. The idea is to protect the bottle from breakage and contain it if something should happen. This product does neither. But the idea of a reusable bag is great but overall, the quality of this makes it useless.

Works well so far. Probably two uses .. maybe three. the inside isn't really made for much more. Good exterior and strong.

So far these worked fine! I used one in my checked baggage and flew halfway around the world on different airlines. The bottle came through perfectly fine. I'm glad TSA or other country security didn't open the pack. I was worried because it is not see-through, and for curiosity TSA could open it up and not re-close properly. The double zip-locking is superior to other wine bottle protectors I've seen. The only minor annoyance as others have mentioned is the interior bubble wrap not being attached to the bag. When you put a bottle in, the bubble wrap crushes to the top. Just hold the bubble wrap with one hand while inserting the bottle with the other.

So happy with these! I am a foodie and I love carrying wine with me when I travel both as a gifts and so that I don't wind up with bad wine at the end of the day. I also cannot afford the hassle of arriving on a business trip with a mess in my suitcase. These work great. Totally reusable and extremely sturdy. I have not had a bottle break and the triple seal pouches are awesome.

This is the second set that I've purchased after using the first set for many months. Works well - be sure sure to follow the detailed but simple instructions. Could use more padding (bubble wrap in the inside layer) for more protection. I always wrap this with my clothes for additional protection and can be assured that if there is any unlikely breakage (none to date) the wine skin will protect my clothes. Definitely recommended, especially since it can be re-used.
