I wish I had known about this inexpensive knife sharpener years ago. Back then, we would have to take our knives to a hardware store to get sharpened properly.A few swipes before use and every knife in the drawer can cut a tomato without bruising it.

This is perhaps the most worthless knife sharpener I've ever worked with
This Farberware Edgekeeper Tabletop Kitchen Knife Sharpener looks great. Feels sturdy. Like the baby blue it was made with. HOWEVER...this made a moderately, halfway dull kitchen knife COMPLETELY DULL.Don't know if I could have cut my finger with this blade after using this Farberware sharpener.Going back to my old device, the AccuSharp Hand-Held Carbide Blade Sharpener, appx. $9.50 on Amazon.Which after trying this Farberrware Edgekeeper sharpener, which screwed up the blade, the old AccuSharp sharpener brought the blade back to a sweet razor's edge. The way it should be. Save your time, your money, (which oddly enough, Amazon told me to KEEP this Farberware sharpener, they would just refund me what I paid for it. No return needed. That's nice, and now the Farberware Edgekeeper Sharpener is headed to Goodwill.
