Great price, easy set up, no more inkjet for me.
This is a great printer. Easy set up and I can print from my PC and my iPad no problem. So much better than inkjet for me.

Three Stars
The manual feeder kinda sucks, not the best for printing checks. The rest of the printer is great.

Super fast. Good quality
Pros: Super fast. Good quality. Prints via WifiCons: NO COLOR PRINTING. Takes a while to receive the print information. Wifi loses configuration randomly, but it's a quick fix once you know how to do it.

Bad scanning and extremely hot
I've used and set up many printers/scanners. This one took forever to get the scanning on this machine set up and I had to contact Canon to get it done. They even had trouble getting it done. However, even after the scanner is set up, it's worthless. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When it does work, what scans is so light and so difficult to read I get better results just taking a photo with my phone and emailing it to myself and converting it using Adobe. I specifically chose this model so I could put multiple pages in to scan. Absolutely worthless for my needs. Also, I'm concerned about a fire hazard so I keep the machine off unless I'm using it for something specific. When the paper comes out it is SO HOT I can't touch it without burning my hands. Luckily it does cool quickly, but I seriously have to let it sit a minute before picking it up. If it can make the paper so hot it can burn my hands, it makes me worry about how hot the machine is or whether it will get worse and/or eventually start a fire. Skip this one it's not worth it.

I dont know why I put up with ink for years!
I dont know why I put up with ink for years! This thing warms up fast and prints with no headaches. Only complaint so far is that it does not print double sided.

Great quality at a value price, excellent support service
nice compact value priced laser printer that can scan and copy. can scan and print wirelessly. When I had an issue scanning wireless I contacted Canon support, did not wait more than a few minutes (<5) before a clear speaking tech was able to solve my problem. Excellent support service.

Get another printer with decent control functions
The Canon had a great price and a lot of excellent functions. Unfortunately, I am rating it so low simply because of its touch screen. Every time you need to use the screen to adjust the functionality, it becomes an unending process of tap, hold, why isn't it working?, wrong function activated, go back to previous. There is no up or down arrow or "enter" button so inevitably you touch the wrong part of this small, crowded screen menu. For simple functions such as copy or print, the buttons on this screen are somewhat larger, but even then, you often have to keep tapping to get the screen to function. I would have returned this had I not foolishly waited too long before opening and trying it. It's a shame, because otherwise, it's a fairly good printer for its price.
