A nice product. I recomend it because is useful for it purpose. Try it or buy it. Again, buy it.

I took and passed the CQE in December 2011 and I bought the ASQ Certified Quality Engineer Book and borrowed the CQE Primer from someone else (I did not know that Amazon sold this), the Primer was by far the most useful study guide. They both cover the same material and have nice examples but you cannot beat the CD of questions and answers. Clear bullet points are used for non-stats topics that make identifying the key topics easy, which are followed by further detail. Any stats or math based sections have several examples which show up during the real exam. During the test I found myself almost exclusively using the primer (I did look in the ASQ book if I could not find the specific keyword in the primer index).If you take the exam with the primer, I would suggest you remove the index from the book for quick referencing. Ensure that you have a basic understanding of where items are in the primer so you can quickly go to that section to look up an item. Depending on how you study you may want to sit down with the CD and take a practice exam prior to the real deal. On my exam there were some unusual AQL levels (0.065) that were not included in the AQL tables, so I would suggest that you print off an expanded table from the internet.Good luck to anyone that will be taking the exam!

CQE Primer from Quality Council of Indiana is the best study book to prepare for the ASQ CQE exam. It covers the BOK in detail with solved examples and unsolved questionnaire at the end of each section. the depth of each section covered depends on the depth as needed by the BOK (Remember, Evaluate, analyze & Apply).Non-statistical topics are well explained using bullet-lists etc. Statistical topics are covered in ample detail showing the basic calculations process in solved examples. You will not need any other Statistics textbook.Biggest advantage is that being a three-ring binder, it is very easy to find stuff in there as compared to other bound handbooks.

CQE primer is the only study material you will need to pass the ASQ CQE exam. People buy other expensive quality books hoping they will use them to pass the test, but they end up only using the primer.
