Excellent replacement for a close up macro lens. Haven't used macro lenses, so can't compare one to one, but for someone who pursues photography as a hobby (and not a professional who can spend top dollar on equipment) this is awesome. All the segments are metallic (? Aluminium) but light weight and sturdy. It lets you get real close to your subject. No optics here so picture quality is more or less the same. Wide out is the preferred position of the lens zoom/barrel which gives the best result. The lens end mount has a proper lock mechanism (that small bolt like thing)used to release the tube. Both side mounts are well made and seem to be durable. Just align the red dots and screw on.Some important things:1. Lens release Mech at the lens end is a bit tricky so be careful while unmounting to avoid damage to original lens mount. There's a small lever you pull back to release.2.You get really close to subject so take care not to end up touching/scratching your lens.3.When using viewfinder one may accidentally unscrew a tube segment instead of the focus barrel, be careful lest your lens falls off!4.Steady hand (no stabilisation) and keen eye (no AF) needed. But that's part of the fun here! Anyways I'm really happy and satisfied,as it has opened up a whole new world of macro for me in a very affordable price. Thanks Fotodiox, thanks Amazon. Recommended!! Good quality. But, this ring don't have any contact pins for camera and lens communication. So, auto mode can't be used. Have to use full manual.

Does the job well. Aperture control has to be done manually on my canon 700d. Would suggest the expensive electrical contact based if you do macro photography regularly.

The media could not be loaded. I am new to photography , doesnt know much about it. my interest is macrophotography. I am uploading a small video of images I took with the help of this extension tube. So far I am happy with the output of this. For a beginner like me, I think it is the best cheap alternative to dedicated macrolens .5* from my side .Thanking you all.

They're just a set of hollow tubes, they do their job ok, although the quality does get lower, but why are they priced so high?I don't understand. When an original Canon lens can come easily for 7000, then this no-brand product shouldn't cost 1700, for what is just, a set of empty tubes with a makeshift lens attachment that's not too reliable.So, if you want to use a pencil's lead as a fan regulator, it doesn't mean the company should charge you double the price for pencil, isn't it?

Doesn't have AF contact points which makes life very difficult. The only way to get sharp focus is by manually altering distance between The subject and the camera. (Remember how great grand-pa would use his magnifying lens to read fine print??) This is so awkward and unsuitable for clicking moving subjects.It does work well with still objects and mate suitable for product photography using a tripod.

Tube lenz is awesome, pictures taken speaks about the quality. Autofocus could have been helpful however manual focus isnt that difficult.No doubt the product is recommendable. All three lens individually and together fix to the camera without any hassle.Cost is little higher side, metal body is one plus point.Thank you Amazon, seller and fotodiox 👍
