Nice
Although I will not be using them until Christmas, I did take them out of the box and confirmed they both work. I was reading other's reviews about them not lasting a full eight hours or so or not working at all. The instructions do mention the length of time the light lasts depends on it's location and how much sun it gets that day. It also mentions changing the battery if over time there is a decrease in the amount of time you have light....you have to read the directions.

Short lifespan
About 50% of the lights stop working after 6 months but they do provide strong lighting while they work.

Halloween Hopes Dashed: A Dim Review of Spot Lights for Spooky Ambiance
My quest for the perfect Halloween ambience led me to these spotlights, tailor-made for the occasion. Residing on an exceptionally dark street, my goal was simple: entice trick-or-treaters to grab all my candy before I succumbed to a chocolate-induced couch coma. Unfortunately, despite basking in the sunlight all day to ensure optimal charging, these spotlights fell short of even a 5-hour glow.A mere 3 hours of illumination proved disappointing as I watched the festive radiance fade into darkness prematurely. The allure of the color-changing lights was undeniable—they added a cool and fun touch to the Halloween atmosphere. However, their brightness left much to be desired, and the limited range failed to make a significant impact.Regrettably, the lackluster performance left me with no choice but to bid farewell to these lights, considering it a loss of hard-earned money. It's safe to say that I won't be venturing into the realm of this manufacturer's products again. A ghostly glow may have been the intention, but the reality was more of a flicker and fade.

So far so GREAT...plus a FORTUNATELY INACCURATE description!
Granted, I've only had these lights for a few days and only time will tell how long they'll survive; but so far I've been very happy with them. They are low-profile, feel solidly built, and don't mar the look of the landscaping like some lights do. They also last the entire night. In the spirit of full disclosure, I almost returned them at first because after two full days of charging in the sun, I couldn't get them to turn on. However, it seems that ended up having to do with some quirkiness of the power button. I had to make several attempts of holding it down for various amounts of time until it finally sprung to life. So if you get yours and they don't turn on after a couple days of charging, play with the button a bit and see if that works. And, of course, remember to have the solar panel completely covered when you're doing that so the sensor knows to turn the light on.I bought these specifically to illuminate a set of tiled stairs at night (see photo) and wanted a solar light that gave me color options other than just white. The product description says it has "6 Fixed Color Modes" (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan, purple) so I figured I would use red or yellow. But what I REALLY wanted was a color in between red and yellow so I was REALLY happy to see that I could get exactly that!It has to do with the way you set the color you want: you don't press the button and it gives you red, press it again and it gives you green, etc. (or at least I couldn't figure out how to do that). Instead, it cycles through all of the colors in the spectrum using it's "changing color mode" and you press the button to stop it when it gets to the color you want. So there is actually an abundance of color possibilities with this light. This color selection method may not work for some people but for me it is perfect and, provided they last a decent amount of time, I would highly recommend them to others. Please FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL if you did. Thanks!

Fine, but disappointingly dim
These spotlights work well enough to light up some Halloween skulls in my yard, by putting the skulls within a few feet of the light, but aren't bright enough to illuminate larger decorations, or anything more than about 6 feet away. The solar power is convenient, and it's nice that they turn themselves on when it gets dark. I have found that I need to be thoughtful about where I place the lights, though, to ensure they get enough sun during the day to power themselves.

Great lighting very bright
Seeing is believing. These lights sets my yard apart from my neighbors. They are bright and highlight my cactuses and palm trees. I bought other landscaping lighting but not to this effect. I recommend this product for those who love how their yards looks at night. They are easy to install and the price is not bad for what you get in return. They stay bright all night.
