Christmas tradition
It’s a tradition every year to give a Chia pet to my grandson who now is in college. He still lights up with joy when he sees his Chia pet. I highly recommend this product because it grows as directed and brings a big smile to everyone who sees it.

Quite Large
These are a nice size; they take up about half of the box space. My work is having a Chia Pet growing competition. I really wanted to purchase the poo emoji chia pet but was told that it was not appropriate for work so I had to settle for the overly happy face! I haven't started growing mine yet but I have had chia pets in the past and these are a synch to grow so I don't foresee any issues with this one. These are a fun gift and kids love them. I snagged them on sale so the price was right!

Ch ch ch CHIA!
I love this product so much but although it's necessary, the fact that you have to put a bag on top of it kind of ruins its aesthetic.

Great experiment!
It was my first time having a chia pet. It’s winter where I live and the temperature were very cold. I did put a plastic bag around the planter the first couple days. Watering by spraying the seeds couple times a day. I did not want to leave water in the planter because water was sweating from the bottom. I would say that even if there is long sprouts on the top of the “head”, some in the back are just starting to sprout. Maybe when the weather is warmer I’ll try again. I am happy with the result and the smiley face makes me smile every time I look at it.

Five years past "best buy" date - disappointed
I ordered three but only received two. The two I received were five years past the "best buy" date. (tested 2017- best by 2018). The expiration date on both boxes was covered by a sticker. The packages were different so I was curious to see when the packaging changed so i looked for a date. I checked online and the seeds were too old to germinate. I returned the product. I had planned to use them as prizes in a contest. I'm really glad I was curious. I don't know if the intent was to deceive but the expiration date was purposefully covered.
