Sladust All Wool Dust Mop, Wooly Mammoth Made in The USA

Worth the money! I bought one to try it out and loved it so much that I bought a second for my other home. If you have hardwood floors this is a real timesaver. The woolly mammoth has a wide head, so it does a big area quickly. It’s very maneuverable and it gets in to hard-to-reach places. When cleaning, I quickly go all over the floors with the dust mop, and I put any remaining sand or dirt that is also pushed by the mop into a corner. When I’m finished dust- mopping all the floors I just take my hand held vacuum and pick up the little piles of dirt that I have accumulated from pushing the dust mop. Efficient cleaning!

The constant challenge as an owner of multiple pets is dealing with shedding and little messes the fur babies leave behind. Milk bone crumbs, food particles, pet hair, remnant fibers from play toys and the like are easy to contend with now. In less than 5 minutes I can clean all the vinyl planking and hardwood surfaces of 90% (by weight) of debris compared to 20 minutes of vacuuming. Now I only have to vacuum one day a week and am no longer embarrassed when guests drop by. I know many consumers have reported to plastic part that attaches the dust mop head to the handle as appearing flimsy. My initial impression was the same sentiment, but after several months of rigorous use, my concerns have been laid to rest about it being the weak link in an otherwise superbly constructed product! I have violently shaken this mop to release dust and debris from its wool fibers without and hint of failure or compromised performance. I have even scanned the connector with the intention of 3D printing a replacement made from carbon fiber. My carbon fiber filament is still in the airtight foil package! Highly recommend this product for rapid cleanup on smooth surfaces.

I went with the wooly mammoth because I live in a desert (Phoenix), have 3 cats and my house is all terra cotta tile. It saves time, my back and my cat's lives. The wood handle is solid and very smooth. With a telescopic handle, swivel in the wrong direction & the telescopic connection comes loose. Loosen, tighten, loosen, tighten. Just writing about it exhausts me. The wool is thick, of superior quality and shakes clean easily. I've only had to wash it once after cleaning up from a bad dust storm when I was out & my windows were open. What. A. Mess. Machine washing (and dusting sprays) remove the naturally occurring lanolin so a quick hand wash in warm, mildly soapy water left it clean & fluffy. The box it shipped in was sturdy enough to keep it's shape and resist damage. Highly recommend. Sometimes the old way is the still the best way.

SWEET! I love this dust mop. I have a big house with all hardwood floors save for our mud room and shower area of all bathrooms. I have 2 grey and white pit bulls that insist every season is shedding season, seems they always want a new fur coat. I have an awesome vacuum cleaner but it’s a hassle to get out daily and I was at my wits end shuffling through furry floors until the weekend when I have 4-5 hours to vacuum our house. Enter the mammoth. I bought this thing like 8 months ago, remembering this type of dust mop from my childhood, but only really figured out the application piece over this last month. Sure, this thing attracts the dog hair, but what I really needed to do was channel the nice gymnasium janitor at every single school I ever attended and push this mop across the floor plan in one continuous pattern, eventually stopping at the end point with all the dust bits and dog hair clinging to the mop and anything else in a nice neat dust line on the floor to wipe up with a wet paper towel and throw away. The awesome part is I can detach the mop, throw in dryer after each use and the dog hair is pulled into the dryer’s lint trap for easy removal. I just reattach the mop to the head of the handle and it’s ready to go for the next day. I’ve done this for a month now M-F and my vacuuming is way cut down-and so is the fur!!!

Love this mop! You have to remember this is not a vacuum. It picks up hair and dirt but also acts a bit like a broom. On hardwoods, I vacuum the edges with a mini vacuum, then use the dust mop to pick up bits in the middle and corral anything it doesn’t pick up in a pile. Then I vacuum the pile. The dust mop gives a nice shine to the floors and fits nicely under furniture to pull dust bunnies out.The handle does screw into the base, so a little wood glue is recommended to avoid it unscrewing. A shake out the back door after each use takes care of cleaning for me.I gave four stars because, while it is the closest thing to it in existence today, it is not as great as my grandma’s dust mop was when I was growing up.

Where has this been all my life?? This mop has made my hardwood floor cleaning so much easier! A self proclaimed neat freak, I was vacuuming my hardwood everyday. I have a small dog who does shed a bit. I run this mop over the floors each morning and I can now vacuum every three days! I would buy this again and again! It is large yet light weight. While it s not quite as good as the old dust mops of the 70's it is an outstanding product! Some might think it's pricey for a mop but it's worth every penny. It has saved me time and effort, which is priceless. Buy it! You will love it!

THIS SHOULD NOT EVEN BE CLASSIFIED AS A MOP! THERE SHOULD BE A PICTURE OF THE UNDERSIDE AND YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN. THERE IS ABOUT AN INCH OR MORE OF STITCHING THAT MAKES THE MOP LIE FLAT; THEREFORE THE WOOLY STRINGS YOU SEE PICTURES ARE FLAT AND DO NOTHING TO MAKE THIS A MOP. THE ONLY SURFACE THAT IS NEXT TO THE FLOOR TO DO ANYTHING IS THE STITCHED SEAM. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!! ONCE AGAIN THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE A JOKE!! NEVER WILL PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND QUESTIONABLE ABOUT PURCHASING FROM AMAZON---THIS TYPE PRODUCT SHOULD SELL FOR ABOUT A BUCK AND THAT'S STRETCHING THE WORD "PRODUCT"!

From a company that has made the mop for 108 years, it can't be bad. Love the thing you don't have to treat it the lanolin in the fibers picks up the dirt.
