Very well written Book on False religios Teachings

This is a fabulously educational book. Contrary to some reviewers on this thread, it IS based on fact not fiction. Those who scream about it being laced with 'bigotry, hate, lies...etc' are themselves ignorant and wish to remain so; and are most likely part of one of the cultish religions featured in the book. The info is easily verified, esp since it's derived from the religions, and their religious books, themselves. You can't say the truth is a lie when it's in black and white and referenced from the 'holy' book of that particular religion.There is no hatred in this book. Just a person wanting to shine the light on the fallicies of these cultish religions. It's a great teaching tool, and very useful in speaking to those who've been brainwashed by these cults and aberant religious sects. It's a very easy and fast read; A must have for those who want facts and not fairy tales about what is really going on when you hear a 'knock, knock' at your door, or you encounter someone trying to sell you on being god of your own planet.It's clear, concise and enlightening. I highly recommend this book to anyone who can think for themself.

This is the 2nd time owning this book. I bought the first one at Pastor Chuck Smiths Calvary Chapel store in Costa Mesa,Ca. I was impressed at the knowledge and sound biblical advise that I got and decided I needed another one. This books knowledge helps me to discern with the unsound doctrine I get when those people come to my door. (if you know what I mean)

I have studied many of the subjects Ed has written on and he definitely knows what he's talking about. I would consider him an expert writing on Mormonism and Free Masonry. I think it's better for him to state the facts just like he does rather than worry about offending somebody with the truth, I understand the Latter Day Saints have changed much of their Pagan practices do to him exposing them for what they are, so even if that's the case on some of his writings knowing what they believed 15 years ago is extremely relevant when it comes to knowing the foundation their religion was built on.

Ron Carlson and Ed Decker are two of the most reliable tellers of truth on the social landscape. Fact driven and honest insight into the lies that run common in all false religions. Truth surrounding God's Word is of paramount importance in these last days. Just as Christ teaches, false teachers are running rampant everywhere and growing in prominence. We need good tools to battle Satan's minions. We need accurate information to counter the lies being propogated even in the church and to be able to boldly contend for the faith. We need discernment. We need to be able to distinguish truth from error. This book does just that. I have used it as my go to apologetics guide for years and recently purchased a Kindle copy for a dear friend and mentor. Get it and you won't be able to put it down.

I bought this book before, and had loaned it to a friend who moved out of the state. I had to get another copy of this book... but what was it that made it great? Simply the fact that the book isn't vague about anything. The authors are not just giving thier opinions, but comparing the beliefs and traditions of other religions to what the Bible says. It is truly eye opening, as it de-mystefies the doctrines of the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, New Age movements and more. Being close to pocket size, it is a perfect companion to take with you. It's easy reading, straight forward truths, and loving attitude toward those in those religions is quite refreshing. This is a definant must have for anyone who wants to be able to discern the difference between Christianity (Bible believing), and other religions

Essentially I think this is a very valuable book, useful in uncovering things people, especially Christians need to know about the religions and belief systems covered in this volume. Our Bible study group went through it and about our only real criticism of it was that sometimes it was a bit repetitious on some matters, but perhaps that was due to our already knowing those things. I'm sure that this book can teach nearly everyone something they should know.
