The World's Greatest Lighthouses Hardcover – September 6, 2011

I've scoured the internet for years for lighthouse memorabilia as my mother is a collector/fan and I never want to let her down in the holiday season. She seemed to be very happy with this latest find... lots of beautiful pictures of lighthouses the world over with in depth information on each. Maybe she can elaborate... If she ever sees this! ;)

this was a gift. the person I gave it to loved it. said it was perfect. I did glance thru it before I wrapped it. Pictures are gorgeous

Well done! Nice pictures. Test is a little small but a very unique book.

The book itself is tall, around 12" and the width is about 6". it makes for an odd/heavy feeling while reading. And the typeset is VERY small, and very light on the page. I, at 35 years old, had trouble reading it. I'm sure my mother will have problems and not fully read the entire book. The pics are beautiful, but there are better books out thee.

This book was for my daughter who is a lighthouse fanatic. She loves it. The pictures are gorgeous and is a great glimpse of the world's lighthouses.

This book has a lot of amazing photos of lighthouses around the world.I liked the book but am somewhat disappointed not to see more lighthouses.There are some amazing and beautiful lighthouses out there that I was so surprised not to see in this book.Now I realize its not the "lighthouses of the world" book and that the idea of beauty is purely subjective,yet I really would've liked to see more intriguing lighthouses from maybe lesser known places in the world. (I am glad Portland Head Light was included).I read glowing reviews from this site which led me to purchase the book, but it did not live up to all its hype.

I love lighthouses and watercolor painting. I painted the lighthouse on the cover from a photo by a friend but she couldn't remember its' name or location. Now I have both!
