Do the lids have seals on them?

They did but mine come broke so be careful cause when I tried to get a replacement they didn't have anymore

Am I able to buy only a lid for the smallest canister?

Not that I know of. I broke the lid to the largest canister so I just threw it away and sold the other 3 in a garage sale.

They have a pitcher you could use for a utensil jar.

They appear to be airtight. There are rubber type seals that the covers set into. I keep coffee, sugar, and flour in them.
