So far I am I loving this product! We’ve only had it about a week but we live in the Pacific Northwest where AC in homes Is very hard to come by so having this cooler has been a life saver! The fan runs great, is super easy to assemble and looks very sleek and nice. We haven’t had to attempt the recommended cleaning process yet but it sounds easy enough.We are unable to get portable ACs in our apartment (lease restrictions) and with the heat wave bringing in 100+ temperatures we needed a solution especially since our home reached 100 degrees indoors. This cooler obviously doesn’t have the range to cool an entire home, but we have been able to keep our living room cool enough so that we can actually have a comfortable room in our home for us and our animals, which in turn has helped the overall temperature of our home not get quite as hot. I’m definitely interested in purchasing a second for our upstairs!

I really wanted to have this work properly, followed the directions completely but it only cooled down the small (less than 400' bedroom) by 2 degrees after working for hours. We are in a dry area of southern California and our two other Honeywell swamp coolers work really well [one in living room, one in master bedroom] so I know swamp cooler CAN help.Then the 2nd day it started making a groaning noise. After that by the 3rd day it began squeaking when I used the oscillator. Finally, yesterday, the fan just stopped blowing. I tried to turn it off, cleaned it, checked for loose screws etc, but to no avail. The fan just won't come on and stay on, so the "cooling" part won't work either. Sadly, am drying and cleaning it out to return it.

Most complaints seem to come from people that expect air-conditioner like performance from a swamp cooler. No matter how well an evaporative cooler is designed, a swamp cooler can't break the laws of thermodynamics.This item does exactly what reasonable people should expect. The fan blows, water evaporates cooling air by a couple degrees below ambient. The room feels little more pleasant in the fan's airflow. If that's what you want, you will be satisfied. Please understand, a swamp cooler isn't going to work if the air is very humid. Again, no matter how well designed, evaporative coolers can't overcome the laws of thermodynamics.If you want something that cools the rooms air substantially & you are willing to pay through the nose for electricity, then buy an actual air conditioner.

I had more hopes for cooling. But it is a great fan. It won't perform cooling like an actual AC unit. We are happy with it as a very effective fan. Very quiet as well. We hoped to get rid of the loud box fan we had...but apparently my storm phobic dog likes the white noise of the box fan. So we a re using both and had to get a freestanding AC unit to actually be comfortable in our living room in FL

We bought this for our Airbnb. We recently got a chance to use it for ourselves. It has some ice packs you can freeze and add to the unit to help cool. We found it to be ok. It doesn't cool very much but it does help circulate the air and give a cooling feeling. We find it adequate but not as advertised.

Setup the product and filled the water tank to max and it was gone within 20 minutes. Contacted customer service and they are sending me another. I will say, customer service was truly outstanding. If the replacement unit works, I will upgrade this review. If not, I will return to Amazon.Customer service contacted me again and worked with the situation and it is now working as advertised. At this point I am now highly recommending it and moving my rating to five stars.

I must have gotten a different model. I even contacted VIP customer service and got different answers than the Q&A. The water tank cannot be removed in my model WTF-010L. It is only cool if you put ice packs in it and yes you can put ice cubes in the bottom water compartment. This is just a very expensive fan without the cooling feature. Just try lifting the entire unit to clean the water compartment. Can you lift it to your sink, I cannot. The blue light is so bright it lights my whole bedroom, so not good for a bedroom. Thankfully I got a good price, but I may still return it.

I earlier wrote a review that gave it one star. It didn't seem the air it blows was any cooler than a regular fan. I think that was because I was comparing it in the evening when the fans I tested it against were drawing in cool outdoor air. Yesterday at mid-day, I was using it just as a fan and thinking about how hot the air was. I decided to give the evaporative cooling function one more chance. This time, the difference was very noticeable. It's not A/C, but it's like a cool breeze on a hot night. So I'm updating my review, which doesn't seem to have posted, and giving it 5 stars instead of 1. In fact, I think I'll order another.
