Satisfied with this oven
Great little oven Love itPros:Easy to useToast/heats up food fastBroil setting crisp food FAST(watch out)Not too bigOven heats up really fastHas two hieght options for trayHas a crumb trayCons:Not much options for short timed cookingThe oven and glass gets VERY hot like will burn you if you touch it.Tray doesn't slide on it's ownTray falls out easily when getting food outOverall opinion with the few cons I still love it. Toast my food perfect Everytime. Great quality my last toaster oven also from black and Decker broke lasted a good 5 years so I replaced it with this one. Was a bit skeptical from the reviews but decided for the price to go for it. It's cute and convenient. Just watch that hot glass door it gets hot enough to burn you and don't set anything ontop while cooking it melted a juice cap so you can get an idea of how got it gets ontop. Other then that would buy again very satisfied!

There's a reason Black + Decker owns this market...
Finally had to replace my old toaster oven; I burned one too many pieces of toast, and it caught fire (my fault, not the manufacturer). The toaster works well, toasting very evenly, and pretty quickly, too. I've used it as a small oven as well, and it performed as expected. After one month, I have no complaints.

My only complaint so far is . . .
that it's a little bigger than it needs to be. The baking pan (which is slightly bigger than the included new one) from my last B&D toaster oven (which is smaller than the new one) doesn't quite fit in this one (or I should say it didn't until I modified it). The unit does toast better though, and the oven works as expected. The removable crumb tray is a welcome addition, and does make it much easier to at least clean out the bottom. As with most appliances now a days, the controls seem more complicated than they need to be, and harder to read. Those things could both be a function of my advancing age of course, but I don't think so. I guess manufacturers of just about everything seem to think that their products need to at least appear to be more complicated. I've used B&D toaster ovens for more years than I care to admit, and I guess will continue to. That said, for the price paid, I would recommend it and would buy it again.

Compact, attractive, reliable and easy to use
I was fortunate enough to find one that had been returned and was certified by Amazon to be in perfect condition. Even the box was unopened, so I got it for a great price. It came with a cooking sheet and I picked up a little deep dish baking pan and made meatloaf the first night. It toasts, bakes and broils. A bell dings when the timer runs out and it turns off. There is no light bulb inside, but when it's in use the heating elements glow bright orange so you can see in without having to open the door. Easy to clean and has a small countertop footprint to fit just about anywhere.

Scary the first time you use it, then its fine!
In case you didnt know, apparently the first time you use a toaster oven (not just Black and Decker, but any kind of toaster oven), sometimes the first time you use it there's a smell like burning plastic which is pretty alarming. (I was scared we had an electric fire). Apparently this is normal because there is some protective coating that burns off that first time it's used (makes sense because these things sit in warehouses and stores before theyre sold so the protective coating helps). The first time you use it, put in some bread you dont really want to eat and toast that, and throw it out. Don't panick (like I did) when you get the smell. After you wash everything, and you start using the toaster oven regularly you'll love it! We toast bagels, sliced bread, we also heat up pizza and cook nuggets in there. It's one of my favourite electrical applicances in the kitchen! It's the perfect size for a small apartment kitchen and it has many uses. It's really easy to clean too. We use it everyday and it's been great so far (had it for about 4 months now!)

Good toaster. Be ware of placing anything on the top while it’s hot.

Oldie but goodie - updated to reduce by a star
This turned out to be a replacement for the one I've been using for years, except I couldn't get it in black. It holds two pieces of rye bread comfortably, which works fine for us. Doesn't take up a lot of counter space, which was important to me. We just use it for toasting and re-heating, for the most part. Anything that will air fry is bigger than I have comfortable space for.UPDATE 3/24 I find this unit to be very frustrating in trying to get a medium toast level. The dial is stiff and the icons are too close together for fine-tuning. Sadly, "new and improved" has done it again - the previous model worked much more satisfactorily.
