I use cut gloves constantly over an oven and grill top and I can say that it definitely blocks out some of the heat of the grill but it’s not it’s intended use so it may not be exactly what you’re looking for

Would these help when using a puck to sharpen hatchet or machete?.

For sure they would help. I use them with razor sharp wood carving knives. You can work without fear of getting cut. My gloves have saved me a few times.

Will these work well for cleaning and using meat slicer

As long as the blade isn’t running I think they would be fine to use while cleaning a meat slicer . I wear mine when I clean my mandolin slicer.
