Great fit, high quality; only provides MILD compression.
I am pear-shaped for my size (5'6 140 lbs), but the medium fit me perfectly despite my larger legs; the sizing seems to be very forgiving, so you can't really go wrong. (Updated review--I lost 10 lbs and they still fit me perfectly!)MATERIAL: Surprisingly thin, but opaque and matte. These are nothing like those shapewear leggings that are ultra-shiny, thick, constricting, and itchy. Very stretchy to accommodate a wide range of sizes.LOOK: It's black, but not like vanta black--looks more like dark grey in certain lighting. Despite its stretchiness, it still manages to stay opaque (no pink undies showing through). However, because they are thin, you will get an underwear line if you're not wearing no-show undies. Does a decent job of smoothing you out overall, so you won't see every little cellulite bump on your bum.FIT: Once you put them on, they feel like a second skin--no saggy waistbands, crotch sliding down, undies riding up, etc. However, these do NOT PROVIDE FIRM COMPRESSION. These leggings don't even have half the compression of my 20-30mmHg socks, which I purchased to facilitate recovery with a broken foot. So bear that in mind--this is not an extreme 'shapewear' legging, and it is not good if you need real 20+mmHg compression for something like injury recovery. I'm guessing these have mild (8-15mmHg) compression--but then again, don't most exercise leggings?Oh, and there's a seam running down the front and back of the pants, so.. Beware of cameltoe. I have to wear long shirts with these. The high waist area has much stronger compression than the rest, so it smooths your tummy very well.------This will NOT provide the compression I need for my injury. However, as a comfy and flattering fitness/leisure legging, I love them because they feel like a second skin. I'll probably buy more just as backups!

Absolutely love it...
Im 5ft 6, 160lbs, size 8 -10 pants, waist size 28inches... and ordered medium. It fits perfectly, about an inch above my belly button. I could have even worn a small but may have suffered rollover on the tummy. The material is a medium compression and has a wonderfully silky smooth feel to it and is not in the slightest bit see through. Its a tad bit long and bunches at the ankles but not enough of a problem to deduct a star. Im so glad i took the plunge and bought this....when i lose 10lbs....ill probably get the small.Update: used these for the 1st time yesterday - and boy did they stay put!! The waist however did roll down/over a couple times when doing crunches but still love how well the rest of it stay in place.2nd update: been using these a few months now and they have not aged a bit. 1 did suffer a small hole but that was due to my getting it snagged..the other 3 are perfect. Wore them on my first 1/2 marathon and they really are great. I wish they came in other colours...you wont regret these.Update august 2019Im still wearing these leggings!!! I now own 5 pairs which get used 5 days a week..washed in hot water and still going strong!!!Update: June 2020Still wearing these leggings - 5 pairs, 5 days a week & still going. I wash these in hot water with fabric softener and they refuse to age!Not even a nick or hole. Zippers work perfectly.Ive yet to find a compression legging that matches these..Update december 2020 : i still use my first set of leggings bought in 2017 and im back for more! I cant see myself buying any other. Ive tried so many other leggings and these dont budge when doing hiit sprints. All other leggings i feel i need suspensers. My all time favourite.Update July 2022. I still own and use the first pairs of these leggings - these leggings will serve me till I die.

Best affordable compression for curvy figure
If you have the problem of leggings constantly falling off of your waist, these might be your lifesaver. These offer a lot of compression and can stretch high up on your waist so nothing jiggles. They are very smooth and silky like a second skin. They cinch in more at the waist and then fan out at the hips to flatter a curvier body but also stay put for all of the miles. They are squat proof and hold up well over many washes and wears (mine have gone over 1,000 miles and still seem like they have a bunch of life left in them). But they are also cool enough to wear in hot climates for more compression or sun protection. I have run several marathons and ultras in Texas and Florida in them. I also love that they can stretch over my ankles and offer more solid compression when I need it while traveling. This is a rare find as I’m nearly 6 ft tall. and mostly leg. I am not sure how this will affect more petite ladies, though, so something to keep in mind. My only complaint is that the shape/seams in the rear could allow more room and be more flattering for larger booties. But for the price and functionality, these are real winners.

Excellent leggings, not good for medical compression.
I love a tighter fit legging. These are very comfortable! I think they run slightly big because I have thicker thighs and would normally wear a size large legging. After reading reviews I ordered the medium. They fit perfect. I read other reviews saying they're hard to get on. The medium was not hard to get on at all. I'm 5'7 170 lbs. They don't get 5 stars because they claim to be "compression" leggings. I've had to wear compression products before for a medical condition. These have weak compression to claim to be a compression product. So if you NEED compression I wouldn't recommend.
