I use this in vivarium builds as a substrate barrier for the drainage layer and it works perfectly. It keeps any soil from slipping through into the drainage layer, but still allows all of the excess water to drain through. Plus, it's a LOT for the money. This one sheet will make MANY vivariums versus if I had bought a substrate barrier from a reptile supply, I would have only gotten enough to do one vivarium and I would have paid more for it.

Easy to have mulch layed on top. However, grass is now growing through in several areas where there was previously no grass growing. Interestingly enough the area where this product was used was dug up turned over and there was no grass growing there at all. Thought it was to prevent grass from growing through.

For the price and durability, this was the best! Have gotten others and no comparison, very pleased with purchase!

Laid out to go under rock. Easy to install.
