Never looking back now
I've been deep frying turkeys for over 20 yrs, usually just once a year; the relatives that come here over holidays expect it, as there is no comparison as far as flavor goes. But (and I never told any of them)--it's a huge hassle and expense. Figure $40 for peanut blend oil, only to find out 3 gallons isn't quite enough, add some more $ for oil to completely cover the turkey. And the waste--yeah, I would either store it until I'm sure it was rancid and then throw it away, or would wait half the day for it to cool down enough to pour back in the box and freeze it. Did you know it takes 3 days at room temp to thaw frozen peanut oil? I do--years 13 through 20.Year 7 it started raining. Rain and hot oil? Booya. And it was dangerous, all that oil and open flame...actually I enjoyed the danger part.Whatever rub you use on outside of the turkey boils off and makes it way to the bottom of the pot. Last year instead of spending a lot of time scrubbing the inch of crude off the bottom, I just threw the pot away.Present day--found out about this Big Easy, and I'm thrilled.Did a turkey today to make sure know what I'm doing (don't want to experiment on Thanksgiving). This thing is idiot proof.Every bit as delicious and crispy as deep frying. Even more so because the legs can be eaten (deep frying fried the legs and wings to nothing). And unlike deep frying, was able to capture the drippings for gravy.Sold! Now that it's so easy and cheap, plan to use it year round for a lot of different things.

Arrrrg. No Product Guide
It keeps referring to the product guide which, after searching through all the packaging for the fourth time, you come to realize - ain't there. Would be nice if they just said so, provided a URL - something.I'm assembling it - outside. I guess I'm supposed to use my phone to search and find instructions after rifling through the assemblage. I just wanted to set it up to use tomorrow. Why make it so inconvenient? For all I know, it's the world's best turkey fryer. But you know all I can think about - at the moment?!

Nice Product, It needs Instructions in the box, would’ve be nice
I have not use the product as of yet, Will up date later once I have tried it out. But the box was in good shape and product was in good shape from what I can tell. Why are there no instructions to put together in the box? Most item comes with it, even if there not good instructions. Found on YouTube tho

Love the fryer...but...
Only complaint is the very vague and hard to follow assembly instructions. Needs to have videos made that illustrate the process.

Early Christmas Gift for my Husband!
You don't know what you're missing out on if you don't have one of these oil-less turkey fryers. As a northerner, my family was never one to fry turkeys for holidays. We baked them in the oven every year, and while they are surely good baked, this method of cooking them is like no other. My husband is a southerner and grew up with a fried turkey every Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Having moved up north to where I am from, he wanted to introduce my side of the family to fried turkey, but also wanted a healthier alternative. I purchased him this as an early Christmas present just before Thanksgiving, which made for perfect timing to fry a couple turkeys. I think it ended up being the first Thanksgiving dinner that there was no turkey left. Everybody was crazy about it - it was absolutely delectable! He has fried several since and is now the designated "turkey fryer" for holidays in our family. This is the perfect device to make perfect, healthier-for-you fried turkeys!
