Ordered for a last-minute road trip; arrived exactly as expected, I too noticed a VERY modest funky smell [ duh! made of goat skin, might have a smell ] but easily remidied by an afternoon baking in the afternoon sun with essential oiled-cotton balls: Done AND done! People are SUCH 1st-worldly whiners. I love this bag and it will suit my purposes perfectly. I know I’ll use it for years and years to come…

This had to be returned. It stank when I opened the package. I put it in the basement to "air" and the next day when I opened the door to the basement I could smell it. Rancid. Also, the zipper tabs were sticky. I would not carry this on a plane for the smell and any clothes contained inside would stink. I could not recommend this product.

Very nice bag. Just the right size for a night or two overnight.
