probably not, maybe if you put large chunks of ice instead of small ice and you cover it with a towel and keep it out of direct sunlight. I use very large ice cubes like 3 inch by 5 inch, I usually put two plus some loose small ice after 6 hours the large ice had not melted yet. I haven't tested it out in the sun on a hot day from morning to night for a full 12 hr test.
