this must be the least expensive USB-connected, computer controllable power supply that I know of. In the past that was a big and much more expensive instrument. This is not super fancy, but it works for me.

Im using this for my 40 amp Variable Voltage Portable Power Supply (check out the pics man). I actually used 2 other Drok displays before this one. Sorry to say that this is NOT a step up convertor which is why I didn't pick this originally. But I had to be realistic and settle for this step down convertor because I couldn't think of any reason I actually need to get 48volts out of this unit. I'm now stuck with just 14volt limit. I just can't unterstand why Drok didn't make this a step up/down convertor like the other Drok converters. I just don't understand that fact. Hopefully in the near future they will so I can swap this out. Which leads me to the other convenience about Drok. All the units have the same body (hence the same mounting hole ) with the exception of the 5008 (I think thats the number) which is slightly bigger and it's the BT version of this 5005 model. Why u would want a BT unit I don't know why but to each their own. I mean if ur fartin around with a power supply U better be next to it. It aint like hvac systems etc (which should have their own controls) or similar, if ur screwing around with a PS u better be there. THATS A FACT! So why BT!? Thats just asking for trouble. Thats My 50 years of experience talking, take it ir leave it.
