used to sharpen kitchen knives and wood chisel. worked very well

I had been working on sharpening a block plane blade for a few days. I tried a four-sided diamond block, and the sides needed to be flatter. I tried sandpaper on a glass pane, and it was working but taking a long time.It took about an hour to get the blade square and sharp after I started using these stones. I touched up the soul and was very happy with the thin wood shavings and smooth surface the plane left behind I wished I had gotten these stones to start with.

Just don't leave them wet or stack them while the foam is damp. They rust VERY easily.

The stones themselves do a great job; I got seven razor-sharp chisels with them. I had to glue them down due to how much they slid while trying to use them.

Does every thing that it is supposed to do.

Seems well made.

Be careful when sharpening your irons/chisels with these. Mine did not come flat and all three bow upwards in the center. Regardless, a good bang for buck.
