For All You DIYers Out There: Pay Attention To The Pin Markings, Not The Label Position!
So I bought one of these to replace an old GE Capacitor with the same ratings. The condenser unit I was fixing was probably at least 20 years old. Worked like it belonged there in the first place. When I initially started installing this new capacitor, I went by label position. I had taken photos of the old capacitor and wiring position, so I guess my mind wanted to align the label of the new capacitor to match the old one. As I reached to connect the wires somehow I stopped myself and thought that perhaps the pin positionings might be different with reference to the label. So I took the new one out, compared it to the old capacitor, and sure enough they were different! The order of the pins was the same but the label positioning was different. So I reinstalled the new capacitor with the label to the side to match the original pin positioning, connected the wires according to the photo, started the AC and voila! It worked just fine.So don't make the "almost mistake" that I did and properly compare the pin markings on both capacitors before installing. (FYI I actually did compare them before installing the new one, but I somehow aligned it based on label the first time)

Quieted down our Lennox A/C unit.
After an annual cleaning of the outside A/C unit, it seemed to run quite a bit louder than I remembered it sounding. I did some research about these "motor run" capacitors and decided to replace it in our "only" 4 year old Lennox.Short story, if the compressor outside sounds louder than it should. . . try a new capacitor. This fact is not rarely mentioned. Youtubes just talk about "stalled" or compressors that won't start. If that capacitor is "leaky" or not up to spec, it can cause the compressor motor to struggle, draw more current than it should and eventually fail. For $20 or $25 this Titan capacitor IS made in the USA and is top quality. It is worth the money compared to a whole new unit or service call. Our Lennox A/C can now barely be heard inside the house. Before . . . I could hear it anywhere in the house when it kicked on and it would dim certain lights in the house.

Cheap east fix, exact same as original
This was exactly the same as the original on my AC unit. I’m so glad it was such an easy cheap fix since the fan on my AC unit wasn’t working.
