Great Bluetooth for the Price
I was a little apprehensive after making this purchase because the reviews for this item get an F rating on Fakespot. Well this is a real review from a real buyer. Its not PERFECT but for the money its a GREAT BUY.The Good:I've been using a Plantronics Voyager Legend for years. I like the extra features like telling me who is calling but they are still around $70. All I really need is clear sound and reliable connection. The Torondo V4.1 is does this for less than half the price. I am told the microphone is clear and does not sound like I'm in a well. When connecting to my phone, it show up as K10 which other headsets seem to get good reviews as well. Another feature I like is the fact that when I'm out of range, I hear "phone disconnected" about every 10 - 15 seconds. While some might find this annoying, it keeps me from leaving my phone somewhere. The Bad:The range is a little less than my Plantronics Voyager Legend. I also find that while it is same type of design as the Legend, the headset is a little stiffer and rubs on my ear if I wear it for an extended period of time. That seems to be not as bad as time goes along. The Verdict:A definite buy. I can't speak to how the company deals with a defective headset since mine is working fine so I might never know. If that changes, I will update my review.

Price point - great. Functionality - good. Feature implementation - poor.
Why complain about $30 for a Plantronics bluetooth headset knock-off, as long as it works, right? This one does check-off the price and functionality boxes, but.where it fails for me, is in how the manufacturer likely shaved off those extra 'Plantronics' dollars. I have a Plantronics Voyager that I basically beat up over the past 3 years. It's been dropped many times, tossed onto desk, accidentally down stairs, bounced out the truck door onto pavement. Still works! I bought this lower priced device as a backup, but realized after 2 weeks of using it, how much I miss the Plantronics. And the extra cost is justified.Poorly implemented or missing features will force me to return this item:1. There is no dedicated on-off button. I'm guessing that extra cost was likely saved by combining several functions into one multi-function (MF) button. Sadly, one function, the loooong press on the stem MF button, translates into me powering the device on, with the device saying "Power on, connected," AND my phone playing a media file. There's no way around this, aside from never powering off the device. Confusingly, there is a small button on the bottom back side of the unit that also starts the media player. In stark contrast, the Plantronics is on immediately with the flip of a dedicated power switch, and it also speaks, giving a bit more detailed info - "Power off" or "Power on, talk time x hours, phone #1 connected."2. No speech recognition. Unlike the Plantronics, this model can't answer a call by me yelling "Answer!" It can't ignore a call by me yelling "Ignore!" However it does answer or cancel calls quickly enough after fishing for the MF button. However when I'm less inclined to use my hands, which really is the reason I buy a headset afterall (cooking, cleaning, working out, can't afford a car with built-in bluetooth, etc.), the Plantronics wins all day.3. Flashing blue light. Kinda annoying. I can't place the device on a table in front of me, otherwise the status light on the back side of the device is flashing blue every 5 seconds. It seems unnecessary and just kinda annoying.4. Volume buttons give no useful feedback. Another point that justifies spending an extra $40 on the Plantronics, is audio level feedback. The Torondo unit only 'speaks' or gives useful feedback twice. When powering on or out of range, "Connected" or "Out of range" and when a call comes in, it announces the number. No name recognition, "Incoming call, Sally Provos, answer or ignore..." or "volume full" as the Plantronics does.5. "I'm buried between the seat cushion, HELP!" How many times have I put down this tiny black device, got distracted, and walked away? A lot! Once, the dog walked off with it. Call me an idiot or careless, but I can easily find the Plantronics at least 3 times a month using my phone. The PLT app sends out a very audible beep and flashing that makes it simple for numbskulls like me to find the headset. When the dog took it, he was startled enough by the piercing beeps to jump out of his bed and run off. Easy find for me. But not the Torondo. Put it down once and walk away, gone forever.3 stars for price and functionality. In my opinion, most features could use some retooling.VERY IMPORTANT: If cost is your primary concern, and/or the missing features I mentioned are not important, BUY THIS DEVICE! Heck buy two! At least for me however #2 and #5 alone are important enough to justify the extra $40 for the Plantronics.

Really nice headset!
After using this headset for a few weeks i'm really starting to like this Torondo blurtooth! I'm a truck driver and i need a bluetooth that's loud enough to hear over engine noise as i drive down the the road. This Bluetooth is plenty loud enough. I also need a Bluetooth that block out background noise. Not once have I had a complaint about hearing noise in the background. Not only that but this Bluetooth is very comfortable! I don't normally wear a Bluetooth all day but this one don't bother me at all! And if you walk out of range it easily reconnect itself! I wasn't expecting this when I bought it but I am impressed with this Bluetooth! This is 2019 and I'm still using the same Bluetooth headset! This was an excellent buy for me!

This headset delivers.
I wanted a Bluetooth headset with good sound, easy pairing and helpful features. And this Torondo headset delivers. It makes phone calls possible in my convertible, even with the top down. The headset comes in a nice plastic case that holds it and three different sized earpieces securely. A nice feature is that the headset folds down flat and fits into the case neatly. This feature also allows it to open in either direction so it can be placed on either ear.The headset is controlled via four buttons: two volume control buttons and a mute button on the rear of the main earpiece, and a "multi-function button" on the opposite side from the ear bud. This allows easy power-on and off control as well as call redialing and ending while the headset is active. It pairs quickly with my Android phone.

Best Bang for the Buck!
This is a review after a full year of use. I am not sure if this would apply to the latest version, but I am basing my review on a 1-yr old unit. I have always been a fan of Plantronics headsets for their voice quality (both sides of the conversation). After my Voyager mic died (for no reason at all), I decided to order this as a replacement. I am blown away! I am on the phone an average 6hrs a day for work and use it 5+ days a week. It has gone through countless charges and many hours worth of calls. I have zero complaints about the version of the headset that I have from a year ago. I am planning to order another one as a spare and hope it can hold up equally as well.As for the other low star reviews, I have not had this issue and keep mine in the open position all of the time to minimize wear on wires and plastics.

Save your hard earned money for a better headset - this one is garbage!
Purchased this device because of the listed features and the price point. Now I know better. The quality of the product is very poor. The noise cancellation is pretty much non-existent and even in quite environments the people I called said they couldn't hear me properly. I almost always had to switch to using my phone or my wired earphones. It make things worst, the headset broke at the joint within 2 months of normal use, no impact or any rough handling. If you really need a bluetooth headset, I would recommend you wait and save up for a better headset rather than through your hard earned money down the drain for this piece of garbage!!Recommendation: Plantronics Voyager Legend - Love this one and use it as my daily driver!
