These SC APC quick connectors work fine just like many others I have used. They have some loss, but on a run with just two of these it is perfectly fine. They are easy to install with just a cleaver on hand.

I wasn’t able to use that one of these fittings breaking off the fiber could’ve been me, but when I went bought another fitting, it worked just fine

I don't think I'd use these in a commercial deployment but if you're doing commercial you're probably using a higher quality connector. But for a hobbyist or temporary connections, these do work. They are fairly easy to pull free as they don't seem to lock as well as some of the more expensive ones. I also suspect they may be causing a little bit of loss too. But honestly, you're getting 20 of these for less then half of what one a Corning connector would run you so you should realize it's not on par with them.

They only work for 2-3mm jacketed fiber. 900um and 250um are easily pulled out. I have made many successful connections with them but at less than optimal connection quality. (Customer supplied) Definitely have a higher insertion loss and the fiber stub breaks easily.
