The Handiest PCIe M.2 NVME Drive enclosure you'll ever use
I primarily purchased this PCIe M.2 NVME Drive enclosure to move data from an old PC to a New PC that had larger drives and was very happy with its performance. the Enclosure came with a small screw driver and some cooling pads and an adapter from USB A to USB C, as pictured in the product item page. I like this alot as a means to transport large files between computers like a normal USB Stick, but i dont think i would leave it in long term as there is no real cooling flowing into the enclosure (no vents) but that is by design as this is a temporary use drive that helps you recycle your old NVME Drives when you get a new drive or new computer. This M2 SSD adapter adopts M key Socket, but can support both M.2 PCI-e Based M Key Nvme SSD, and SATA based B+M key or B Key SSD. I would by again if the need arises. i see no negatives here, its a temporary solution that allows you to move data freely using a large capacity usc stick that just so happens to be your old computer systems NVME Drive.

dissipates heat well
this was tricky to put together and to have the heat sink work correctly. an erector set, just newer pieces.works good otherwise.

Rugged and complete
This device is very well built. The package came with extra screws which are an exceptional touch. The all metal construction handles heat very well and the thermal pads are effective. My only criticism is that the usb connector doesn't retract but that's not a show stopper. It's ideal for m.2 ssd but be aware that sata has a speed limit so putting a super fast m.2 in this device will max at 600mbs... I'm gonna buy another one of these.

Works as expect. good way to use spare m2 drive, compact, has a type c adapters
The first thing I will say about this is that you would want this really only if you want an M2 drive in a flash drive form. That being said, I usually use this when I do computer repairs and back ups. This is a super nice device to have to pull files off of M2 drives. I always had to just pull m2 drives and plug them into my enclosure every time in order to read the M2 drive and pull data. With this is can quickly plug and swap M2 drives without much issue. It automatically detects and read the drives without needing any drivers. Note that you may need to initialize the drive before it can be used for this device. It utilizes a USB 3.1 plug. It does come with a type c adapter in order to connect the device to your MAC (note that you may need to format the drive for it to read on the mac). I used the adapter and works pretty well but if you were to tap it a little bit it could actually disconnect. That is the down side with using USB unfortunately. The plug is pretty stable but this is a really long USB drive. It is also wide so you may not be able to plug into a crowded usb port which is the downside of this. There is a heat sync to help keep your M2 drive from overheating.. It does close and secure with screws. There is a screw driver provided. Overall this is a pretty nice USB adapter for your M2 drive. If you are needing to pull data from an M2 drive but I would recommend really only getting this if you are going to be swapping the M2 drives in and out. The downside with this is that it is a bigger and long usb device. The transfer speed is super fast reading a minimum for 150 MB/s for transfer but again it varies based. It will work on windows or mac although the drive may be required to be formatted a certain way.
