Easy and smooth- Great for sketching
These charcoal pencils are a fantastic upgrade from traditional charcoal sticks. They offer the same rich, bold tones but with way more control and much less mess. I used them for the flower sketch, and they handled both fine detail and heavy shading beautifully. The pencil design keeps your hands much cleaner—no more charcoal dust coating your fingers. They’re also far less fragile than charcoal sticks, which are notorious for snapping under pressure. These held up really well, even with firm strokes.Smooth application, easy to sharpen, and a great range of tone—these are perfect for artists who want the expressive quality of charcoal without the downsides.

Great set of charcoal pencils! Will definitely reorder these!
The media could not be loaded. I love these charcoal pencils! This set has a great variety, from extra soft to hard. I use blender tools to soften lines, and I prefer the charcoal pencils to the thick pieces. So these are perfect! Will definitely be back for another set once these are finished! @artbyalibrown

Works fine if you actually know how to sharpen.
Works great for the price if you actually know how to sharpen these types of pencils. You can not use regular sharpeners because the charcoal will break. Instead use a utility blade or Xacto knife. They do write and draw smooth, I wasn’t sure if they did or not until I was given a cheap brand to draw with and the difference was night and day. These pencils feel smooth. However I Only used the soft so far but would definitely buy again if I need some. This brand and generals is on my list of trustworthy art supplies, for now.

Perfect for Mandala Gridlines!!
I have tried every type of pencil out there to draw my grid lines on my wood rounds for Mandala painting. All of them in the past have either not wiped off or erased completely or wiped off too easily making it necessary to redraw the lines again as I progress outward in my design. This brand was suggested by the teacher in my painting class and they are perfect. I will not use any other brand from now on.
