Doesn't Need an App, Effective and Efficient Robot Vacume Cleaner
The media could not be loaded. When my old Deebot began to fail, I spent a considerable amount of time looking for a new robot vacuum cleaner. I was looking for one that could handle medium pile carpeting, was efficient at cleaning without supervision or direction, and didn't require an app to operate it. While I know a lot of people like the features apps provide, I prefer to have a robot that doesn't require access to all my personal information. I prefer to just turn it on, let it go, and be confident it will do the whole house without my supervision. This Roborock has met those criteria nicely. I can push the Start (on/off) button, pick up cat toys while it cleans one part of the house, and let it do its job without worrying about it. It takes itself back to its docking station in the laundry room when its battery gets low, and when I can restart it in a couple of hours, it goes back to where it left off and resumes cleaning. One caveat, when it was learning the house, I did have to pick it up and take it to the far corners of the bedrooms a couple of times so it would fully integrate those spaces into its map.Brief key points. Most are demonstrated in the video I uploaded -HEPA filter - it seems to do a great job at getting the dust out of the air. I vacuum the HEPA filter with my wand vacuum after every excursion the Roborock makes on its cleaning journey; I wash the filter every 3-4 excursions.Drop Sensor - It doesn't have any problems understanding that my dark mahogany flooring and sand colored carpeting are on one level. (Demonstrated in video.) However, when I accidentally left the front door open, it couldn't decipher that my dark mahogany vinyl floor, dark mahogany threshold, and dark brown welcome mat 2" down were on 2 different levels. When I heard it go clattering out the door and retrieved it, it appeared unscathed, and has been vacuuming fine since then, but it's a good idea to close outside doors while it's working.Medium Pile Carpeting and Low Pile Rugs Without Tassles - This vacuum cleaner does both exceptionally well. It kicks into turbo within about a minute of recognizing the texture change under half of its body, and keeps Turbo on unless it's mapping the room to do the next 10x10 section, or has returned to flat flooring. (Demonstrated in video)Battery Life - I'm really pleased with it. I've got a 2100 sq ft house, about 1/2 of it has medium pile carpeting. The Roborock can do 2/3 of it before it has to recharge.Reflective Surfaces Like Appliances - It has a little difficulty picking up the location of these, but doesn't crash into them. It does however, bump some of them gently. (Demonstrated in video)Dust Bin - it's huge! Even running 2 full charges of the Roborock vacuuming, the dust bin hasn't gotten full! This surprises me because my cats and carpet both shed. I've found the easiest way to clean it out is to remove the HEPA filter which makes it easy to dump its contents into a garbage can.Edges - the Roborock cleans the edges of carpets and flooring much better than I expected. While I normally move my floor-length drapes out of the way when I start the vacuum, it doesn't eat them when it gets to them, it just brushes their hems. I'm also pleased with how thoroughly it vacuums around the dining room chairs' legs. (Demonstrated in video)Overall, I'm very pleased with this RoboRock that doesn't require anything from me other than general maintenance, and telling it to Start.

Amazing technology
I got this robot back in August 2023This is our third vacuum robot, the first 2 were ok but this one...the other two do NOT compare to this one. I selected the one that do not have a self cleaning base, I don't mind emptying the collecting canister, which, by the way, is very small. The technology is amazing, but not perfect. The laser radar system is AWESOME with big, medium and even some small objects, but when it comes to cables, make sure that they are not on the ground when the robot is cleaning. We use wee wee pads for our dogs, and those are not recognized either. But besides that, this robot is amazing. When it comes to the wee wee pads, we have two in the home, so I put a "no go zone" where they are and the robot will not bump into them. The mapping its amazing and the robot cleans systematically room by room. When the robot does the first mapping you can name each room, you can schedule the robot to do cleanings either for all the rooms or just some of the rooms in the house. The robot recognizes carpet and will increase power suction when is on carpet surfaces, then when it goes back to floor (tile in my case) it will resume the default suction power. You can set up no go zones and invisible walls that work perfectly. During the cleaning, you can open the app and see your map and see where the robot is. There is also a remote Control option. Once the robot finishes cleaning, it will go back to the base, directly to the base, not wondering all over the house until it finds it, nope, the robot actually makes a bee line towards the charging base. The robot has also a robot voice and will send you notifications to your phone when it start cleaning, if they are being obstructed and when they are finish cleaning and going back to the base. The app is easy to set up and if you play with it, there are multiple options and choices to chose from. I think you can change the direction that the robot sues to clean, but I am satisfied with how the robot do the cleaning so I haven't felt the need to change it.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
