Intimidating at First, but Easy to Use Opener
Admittedly, I like drinking wine but have never really used any "fancy" bottle openers, so this was a first for me. Upon opening this wine opener, I was pretty intimidated, but the instructions it comes with are simple, clear, and precise. I was able to put it together without a problem. The opener disassembles easily as well and can be placed back in the box for easy storage.Using it was easier than I thought it would be. I didn't have to struggle and strain to muscle a cork out a bottle, which was also a first, and very appreciated.

Based on five bottles, it works as well as any opener I have ever used.
Because I have opened only five bottles, I am giving a "conditional" five star rating. The instructions were clear and it worked as advertised the first time and every time. I was motivated to make the purchase for my wife who is quite smart but not strong. She is delighted with the opener.After opening between 90 to 100 bottles, the opener fell apart. We kept the foil cutter and the stopper, but now we use a simpler less expensive opener.

Don't buy this model
Worked excellent for a couple of months and now has come apart and there's no way to fix it. A pressure fitting (instead of a bolt) has come out and it cannot be fixed. Really annoying.

Very nice wine opener.
I've had two similar wine openers -- both broke after a year or so. That's why I bought this one. I really like it. Works great. One push of the handle smoothly removes the cork. A second push ejects it. Couldn't be easier. Heftier than other similar wine openers and sturdy construction so it should last. Has an elegant look to it. Highly recommended.

Broke within a few months
This never worked very well. Owned less than four months. Tonight the entire thing feel apart. My last similar corkscrew lasted a decade.
