Wow. I really like these shoes.I’m a longtime Chuck Taylor fan, and am always looking for a new and interesting pair. This was a little different than what I’d normally get, but something about them jumped out at me. Whether it was the color, or having the look of boots, I’m not sure. But I took a gamble on them and it paid off. I love them, and I’ve already gotten a few compliments from friends and fellow Converse enthusiasts.I ordered an 11.5 which is basically my typical Chuck Taylor size. That was a risk, because reviews were all over the place. Older reviews said they fit as expected, newer ones seemed to indicate you should go up a size. I took the chance and ended up getting a pair that, while they look huge out of the box, ended up fitting me just right. Now, I typically wear a normal crew sock. If you wear heavier socks, or something with more padding, yeah, I’d recommend going up at least a half size. But if you wear a normal sock, I think you’ll be fine. Go with your gut.The feel of the shoe is nice on the outside, being suede-like. They’re allegedly waterproof from indications on the Amazon page, but there is nothing on the shoe itself that says so. A little hesitant to wear these in a rainstorm, but I’ll let you know if I step in a puddle. I definitely think your foot will stay dry. Whether or not the water will stain the shoe, I do not yet know.The laces and interior definitely give off the boot vibe. Laces have a little stretch to them, and there is a thick insert that provides decent support. That’s something new for me and Chuck Taylors! I love them for life, but they are basically a glorified sock. You just don’t get much support traditionally. These are different. You could of course replace the insert with something you like more, but most people will be happy with what it comes with, I think.All in all, if you’re interested in them, and the price is right for you, grab yourself a pair. I think you’ll be glad you did.

I bought these high top converse for my husband just like we did when younger and we were so happy with the whole shoe. He said they fit perfect, they were more comfortable than the old shoes, they really looked nice on as well. A really nice relaxing shoe for look as well as comfort. Good job

Winter foot wear

These are a real upgrade to a true classic. As soon as I heard they had arch support I was all in. I love the new leather. Awesome color. Fits perfectly.

These are some very well made shoes that look great as casual shoes. I like the padded area under the laces/high top. It makes them warm and comfortable. I got the 13s and they are not too narrow and had a surprising touch of arch support.

This is a great looking sneaker, fits well and better arch support than expected. Have worn an entire day with no discomfort. The color represented accurately.
