Will this work properly connected to a reverse osmosis filter?

The water cooler has a water inlet connector. I would suggest that you place the reverse osmosis filtration system in line before the water cooler. As long as you can connect the water outlet of the reverse osmosis filtration system to the inlet of the water cooler there should be no reason for it to not work properly. You would definitely want to be sure that you have a shut off valve connected to your reverse osmosis outlet placed prior to the connection to the water cooler because maintenance of the cooler can entail disconnecting from the water source.

Is it loud when dispensing water?

It's actually not that loud at all. Slight noise. But nothing to bothering

How much room dos it need for ventilation? Could this be kept in a cabinet and pulled out when needed?

i love love my water dispenser. the instructions does call for ventilation so i'm not sure about the cabinet; there's venting on both sides so it does not need a lot of space. i have saved $$$ and plastic by investing in this awesome machine.
